'Easter in Port Shepstone' Layout - Flourish With a Bling {July Prima Product Pick}

As promised I'm back with the full reveal of my Flourish with a Bling design team layout I showed you a peek of last week.  I used the Prima Product Pick from July for this beautiful colour palette.

I used some paper from the Crate Paper Collection - Maggie Holmes - and a Prima mask with my new fave medium - Wendy Vecchi Embossing Paste - it is beautiful off-white & gives a gentle flocked effect.  (I had no idea how it would perform but clicked "add to cart" as you never know unless you try!)

You can see the full post up at FWAB HERE.  I used a couple of their FWABulous products - the Grace Flourish in Copper & Trent's Fence - both of which you can purchase from the store on their site.  I cut up the flourish and the fences as you can see.

I pounced everything over with white acrylic paint on a sponge - to soften the overall effect when I was done.  (Works great at toning everything down a notch when necessary) & right now I am loving a more muted palette.

I can't for the life of me remember where I purchased the lovely mint flower but all the others are definitely Prima, (except the 2 tiny crochet ones on the top right) as are the alphas.  The gold chevrons come from Crate Paper's DIY Shop Collection.

The 'March' also comes from Crate Paper DIY Shop.  I also used some cheesecloth tucked under the top of my photograph.  The filigree you see below is part of the fence from FWAB, cut up & used upside down.

The flourishes from FWAB are really flexible & versatile as you can cut & position as you please, as I have done here, following the shape of the flourish mask.

I was really happy with the softness I managed to achieve on this page.  I am trying for a gentler, lighter look on my pages going forward.

Things are really hectic for me these days.  Running my own site is proving more time-consuming than I envisaged & I have a few surprise GDT's in the works, coming up soon!!

 In June I completed 17 layouts, one Off-The-Page project, a magazine article & a tutorial, plus all the "computer bizz" that goes with that! #feelingproductive #yay!!!
