Hey Creative People! How's it going this week?? Almost Friday - my goodness - where does the time go? I swear it moves faster the older you get...sure feels like that way to me!! I have been scrapping up a storm this week & have THREE new layouts to share, but for now here is one due in TONIGHT so got to dash with this one!
I chose my colours according to Palette 48 at The Colour Room this week & based my design on a Sketchy Thursdays sketch due in next Wednesday. I used only the left hand side of the layout for my inspiration.
Supplies:- Bazzill Cardstock - White
Sassafrass papers-Playtime {Primo} All my Heart, Serendipity {Mulberry Spice}
In Stitches {Tweedle Pink}, Life is Beautiful {Girl's Best Friend}
In Stitches {Tweedle Pink}, Life is Beautiful {Girl's Best Friend}
Colourbox ink - Dark Brown &, Burnt Sienna & Toffee
Sassafras In A Stitch Blossoms - Kraft
Sassafras Paper Whimsies {Seamstress Boutique}
Sassafras Mushroom - Felties {Critters}
Webster's Pages - 2 little orange flower stickers & date numerals
Martha Stewart Butcher's Twine & butterfly punch
My Mind's Eye bling {Studio Calico Kit}
Pink alphas - American Crafts Thickers {Subway}
Journaling cards - handmade using photo-paper & printer
Finally I got to use my mushroom! I've had this little guy stuck to a cookie jar full of ribbon for forever so I was very happy to give him a permanent home :)
This photo really needed quite a bit of journaling to go along with it so I made these two journaling cards myself - using Autoshapes in Word - Baltimore font (one of my faves), using brown text & a red outline to tie in with the palette.
I am loving having my twine at long last & have ordered some additional colours. This little butterfly punch is soooooooo handy & I have been punching butterflies out of all my offcut paper {or should I say...I've been getting Cami - this little girl in the photo - who is now close to 11! - to punch them out FOR me!}
The decorative edges on the Sassafras papers are a real bonus. This was such a quick & easy layout to put together - honestly, if they were all this easy I'd be one well-rested & stress-free girl :)
Those Thickers are totally lush too for sure...Pink - check! Glittery - check! Embossed - check! Drool...
So there you have it! More to follow shortly!! I will be posting twice over the weekend (hopefully tomorrow - Friday - and Saturday - as I have 2 layouts with deadline before Sunday! If I don't get back here before tomorrow 5 p.m - "Happy Weekend!!!" to you all...hope you have a good one :)
