'Special Memories' Layout - Mixed Media Place - Paperdhviznik Challenges

Hello again everyone!
Just rushing in with a layout for a couple of challenges,
both of which are closing very soon!

This month I took part in the latest challenge up at Mixed Media Place,
one of my FAVORITE sites to visit!  Their challenges are thought-provoking,
really creative & worthwhile, not just prompts to get you going.

This challenge requires you to use BLACK, WHITE, GREY
plus ONE OTHER COLOUR.  I chose ANTIQUE GOLD!!

I went for an unusual diagonal design prompted by a sketch over at
PAPERDVIZHNIK HERE & thought these Prima Cartographer
Papers were perfect for the Colour Challenge AND the Sketch Challenge!
I have learnt over the years that layouts with limited colour schemes
end up packing way more of a punch than those with too many colours,
but being such a colourful person myself I do find it difficult to stick
to this rule & often get a bit carried away!

I used Finnabair's {for Prima} Copper Crackle paste & Heavy Gesso
dry-brushed on this page as well as lots of yummy chipboard pieces,
mostly from 2Crafty Chipboard , plus of course PLENTY of Prima blooms!

I used a lot of inking to bring out the different shades of gold to add more depth to my page.

Cartographer is my favourite Summer 2014 Release from Prima.
It is just so rich & gorgeous!!

Thanks to all who swing by for a visit every now & then!
I appreciate it more than you know!!
