Prima Guest Designer! 'Chase Happiness' Layout
{Prima BAP - November 2014}

Weeeeeeeeeee!!!!  Yes it is finally MY TIME up on the Prima blog!
It is such an honour to be there this month & came around mighty
quickly let me tell you.  The announcement was way back in June
I think it was but before I knew it I had the BAP & PPP to work with
& it was time to get cracking on a couple of samples!

I got to work with an incredible sketch designed by my very special friend
Keren & worked with one of Prima's newest collections - Forever Green.

Supplies List:-

Patterned paper – Forever Green {Nature’s Bounty & Orchard Fresh},
Color Bloom Sprays – Vintage Coal, Antique Gold & Lime Wedge
Stamp – Forever Green & Stitched Circles
 Inks – Ingvild Bolme for Prima {Old Road, Coltsfoot & Olive Vine}
 Flowers – Perdu Item #571054, Essentials 11 {Printery} Item #552527
Romantique – Mini Rose, Leaves - Splendor Maple Item #553562
Metal Clockface – Vintage Mechanicals by Finnabair for Prima
Metal Clock & Paper Clip – Lifetime Collection
Metal Embellishment – Ignition {Junkyard Findings} Ingvild Bolme
Brad – Cartographer Collection
Enamel Dots – Time Traveler & Seashore Collections
Stash – Hemp & Jute thread

As you can see from my supplies list I mixed up little bits & pieces from the many different
Prima collections I've accumulated over the years, spiced up with some new product too.

To create this layout I started with a few flicks of mist from Prima's new Color Bloom sprays.
I love the way you can half squeeze the trigger to achieve this effect ever so easily.

2)  Next I marked the position of my elements with a pencil & did all my stamping
with one of the new Forever Green stamp - full of ferns!  Ooooh I loooove this
new stamp.  I'm going to be using it a lot more often I can tell!!

I used 3 different colours of Ingvild Bolme Chalk ink to stamp with then I mimicked
the circles in the sketch with one of my favourite Prima stamps ever -
the stitched circle, which I shaded in with some IB chalk ink.

3)   Next I made up my photo stack & embellishment clusters, popped them on then
tucked in some threads & string & added some final stamping directly onto the flowers.

4)  Lastly I added my final "bits"- some extra scattered leaves
& enamel dots followed by my hand-written journaling.

Honestly creating this layout was nerve-wracking for me, being for the Prima blog & all!
However I'm really happy with the way it turned out!

I could have gone more "messy" but these days I'm actually over ''over-doing it''
& think that mixed media is going in more of a lighter direction so I  chose to
go the route of something easily replicable & less experimental.

Thank you for visiting & sharing in my Prima excitement today!!
