'Where there is Love" Layout {Prima Promotion for Scrap 365} The Stationer's Desk/Cartographer

Hi Everyone!  Exciting times for me today!!  I am up on the Scrap 365 blog
with 3 layouts made especially for the Prima Marketing Inc. Promotion
we are having over there at the moment.

I was sent the Stationer's Desk Collection pack, along with a few packs
of their embellishments & flowers, and added some of my own recent Prima
stash into the mix too {Cartographer to be exact} to create a few pages.

I always try to match my background paper/s to my photograph & this paper
{Roses are Red - B side} from Stationer's Desk was perfect, made even more so
by lightly washing over some diluted acrylic paints that I spread over thinly with
my fingers.  This is really the best way to get a good flow exactly as you want it :)

All my stickers & alphas come from the Stationer's Desk Collection Pack with brads
& sugar dots coming from Cartographer.  I used some embroidery threads for
texture underneath & some Prima stitching stamps.

I also used some Prima sequinned "Raja" Centres in Gold, some off-cut embossed
chipboard from a previous project, & my old faithful Prima brick stamp to add
some more interest to the background.  I hardly ever use an acrylic block!

Above you can see more clearly the effect of spreading the acrylic paints with your
fingers as opposed to a sponge or card/spreader.  The effect is so much prettier.
The paper-clips come from the Stationer's Desk collection & are called "Typewriter
Keys"- they are a new addition to the Prima embellishments through all their lines
& are one of my favourite embellishments.  I love that they are androgynous
& anything metal always gets me!

To build up my background I also used stickers & papers from the Stationer's
Desk collection, cut into small pieces & often torn on one side for more texture.

I will be back again tomorrow with my next layout for Scrap 365/Prima!
Thanks so much for visiting!!
