She's so Beautiful (and I tell her Every day) Layout & *how to dye your Bloomers*

Hard to believe but I did actually follow the sketch on this one!  I started with the edge around the page then wanted the space IN FRONT of my daughter's face, rather than behind it, so had to shift the photo over to the right, so that is why it ended up looking quite different :)

I honed in on Webster's Pages products because I wanted to submit this for their February Trims & Bloomers Challenge.
Supplies:-  Basic Grey GURIO backing paper
Martha Stewart butcher's twine
Pink Paislee Love Potion p/paper
Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists - Key Lime & Meadow Green
Prima bling swirl (cut up)
Maya Road Leaf stick-pins & resin rose
Webster's Pages Sparklers, Designer Trim, tulle, fabric notions & bloomers
Bo Bunny bling
Vintage findings
Sassafras Ledger alphas
Jenni Bowlin round alphas
1" turquoise ribbon - stash

***Glimmer-Mist tie-dye tutorial*** I hand-dyed the bloomers by "mopping up" the glimmer-mist that was left over on the plastic after I had sprayed my page.  I use plastic (big grocery bags cut down the side & opened up) underneath & just above my layouts when I am spraying/misting them (to catch the overshoot) and, because the plastic is non-absorbent it remains on the top of the plastic.  For a quick & easy tie-dye effect just place bloomers upside down onto plastic & swoosh them around to absorb the dye.  I also keep a spray bottle of water on my desk, which you can use on the plastic to dilute the glimmer-mists and/or on the bloomers to soften & spread the colour.
Because the paper was still a bit damp when I decided to distress it with my edger it tore in a few places so, no worries, I tore it further, opened it up, places some co-ordinating off-cuts behind it, added some bling and, voila, it looks intentional :)
I grounded the bloomers by adding a 1" ribbon "roughed up" underneath it.  This is really easy if you have 1" double-sided tape like me - you just stick it on then messy-fold as you are adhering it to page
I love the way the sun is shining on Cami's face in this photograph.

Loved mixing & matching all these lush supplies here - felt very 1920"s!!

(& i cannot imagine it won't be a BIG FAVE with the folks at webster's too!!! good luck!)

Wow, this is gorgeous. Deserves a win that's for sure.

Cami is so beautiful in this pic - well always, but I suppose it's the added makeup that enhances her eyes so.

Gorgeous Helen, well done.
