Dreamer Layout Mixed Media Layout Tutorial
7 Dots Studio Lost & Found Collection.

Hello there!  If this is the first time you're seeing this layout here on my blog
please scroll down to yesterday's post where I have all the close ups & content.

WHAT THIS TUTORIAL IS DESIGNED TO TEACH

1.  The idea of incorporating/juxtapositioning multiple photographs together
rather than the usual single photo.  Also the idea of using a quote image.

2.  Using a neutral paper from a collection with a theme different to your
project {here the paper collection is vintage-themed but my page is
modern}.  This is achieved by adding a contrast colour as well as
a single bright colour for your accents.

3.  The in vogue string threading technique.

4.  How to speed up your background work using paints instead
of mists & how to make your own cheap mists using paint.

5.  How to accentuate your stencilled designs by using art marker
pens, ie any type of fineliner/koki/brush pens.

6.  The simple idea of recolouring embellishments to suit your needs
(in this case staples!)

I hope you enjoyed my tutorial.  I know videos are very inspiring for intermediate
& advanced artists but personally I know that when I first started out I found
photo tutorials much less intimidating.  Thank you for visiting!

Great tutorial....really love your string work & seeing the bg come into creation is very interesting!!! Helen, is that gold twine or string or wire? It looks great!!! I thought I bought gold thread the other day.....ended up being jewellers wire which is all fine and good but not quite what I wanted!!!
