Selphie Queens - Studio 75 - Yummy Collection
Studio 75 Monthly Challenge - METAL!

Hello everyone!  Oooh I'm happy that my blog is nice & busy at the beginning
of a new month!!  This page is for Studio 75 - as a challenge example, for
Challenge 6, by Amy Voorthuis, to use METAL on your project.

Now all you need to do is use ONE piece of metal minimum but you all know that
restraint ain't my middle name so I ended up using a whole whack of it but it
sure was fun digging in my metal box!!

The papers & tags come from one of Studio 75's new collections - YUMMY -
& it is full of beautiful papers in natural shades with some lovely pops
of colour in butter yellow & paprika red, yup I just made those names up!
I am on a roll tonight....

You can see the full collection HERE in their online store.
Anyone local to South Africa, if you want anything you see I can order it for you
to come along with my next Design Team order, so your postage will work out cheaper.

The page is about my eldest daughter & her new friend here, Jess.  They are two peas
in a pod when it comes to make-up & grooming.  Durban girls have a reputation for
being smoking HOT!  Literally, as a young person here there is a lot of pressure to
SIZZLE!!  These two have the fake tans & eyelashes down to a fine art  & sure
know how to strut their stuff & they get the best selfies together!

For my mixed media background I used a messy technique that I just LOVE!
One I learnt from Riikka Kovasin, who is a very talented Finnish Scrapbooker
with a prolific You-Tube channel.  It involves squidging out some white acrylic
paint onto a plastic sheet {a fancy name for a plastic bag split open} then spraying
on some colours {obviously NOT on top of one another} swirling with a wooden
skewer or the like, then pressing your page face down into it.  Yummy!

I had the idea for my composition already so I made sure that my paint & mist was
restricted to the full side of my page on the right, down to a point in the centre of the
vertical side on the left - in other words in a large triangle. See the video HERE.

I used a stack of the patterned papers behind my photo & held them all in place
with my stapler, which not only looks great as it creates loose layers
{all the rage just in case you didn't know!} but also saves money on glue!!

Well thanks for the visit today & please play along in the STUDIO 75 CHALLENGE
with us if you can - you don't even need to use their products & there is a 30 zloty
{R90} prize pack for the merit winner, posted internationally!
