"Imagine" Art Journal Spread {Mixed Media Place} Intuitive Painting Challenge

Finally I played along with another Mixed Media Place challenge!
I always bookmark them & more often than not run out of time so YAY!!
Did this last night while waiting to collect my daughter in the early hours :)

You can see the challenge HERE.
It is a really fun concept I have been hearing more & more about recently
& I have got more than a little intrigued by THIS ARTIST & she is an advocate.

I used a couple of sheets of A4 watercolour paper, along with my Tim Holtz
paint dabbers, a yellow gelato & my new 13arts "splash" inks by Olga Heldwein.

I cut our all my circles as I thought they would look much more effective on a black base
as opposed to the white one which I had painted all around them as per Kasia's tutorial.

Now, on the black base, they looked like colourful planets hurtling through space so I
splashed on some white ink, found a "big" quote to match "the universe" & called it done.

A couple of awesome messy hours of creative play!!
I hope I have more time to do more art journal pages like this -
or a canvas, but a bigger one, need to get some 30 x 30s or
even 50s x 50s.  Watch out Flora Bowley!!  hahaha....

Very cool pages. I love the look of the gold/copper paint you added to the mix. I am enjoying seeing a more 'free' style of work from you, and thanks so much for playing along with us Helen at Mixed Media Place.

This looks like such fun. I am such an uptight ass** that I just love it when I finally let go and just play. Love the rich dramatic colours. Fab art journal page.

These are super pages Helen and I really love the sentiment! There's a song by the Brand New Heavies....these words are the exact one's used too..

You're the future
And you've come for what is yours
The hidden treasure
Locked behind the hidden doors

And the promise
Of a day that's shiny new
Only a dreamer
Could afford this point of view

But you're a driver
Not a passenger in life
And if you're ready
You won't have to try 'cause

You are the universe
And there ain't nothin' you can't do
If you conceive it, you can achieve it
That's why, I believe in you, yes I do

You're a winner
So do what you came here for
The secret weapon
Isn't secret anymore

You're a driver
Never passenger in life
And when you're ready
You won't have to try 'cause

You are the universe
And there ain't nothin' you can't do
If you conceive it, you can achieve it
That's why, I believe in you, yes I do

You are the universe
And there ain't nothin' you can't be
If you conceive it, you can achieve it
That's why, I believe in you, and I believe in me

Yes I do
Believe in you, I do
Yeah, I do

You're a driver
Not a passenger in life
And when you're ready
You won't have to try 'cause

You are the universe
And there ain't nothin' you can't do
If you conceive it, you can achieve it
That's why, I believe in you, yes I do

You are the universe
And there ain't nothin' you can't be
If you conceive it, you can achieve it
That's why, I believe in you, and I believe in me

You are the universe
And there ain't nothin' you can't do
If you conceive it, you can achieve it
That's why, I believe in you

You are the universe
And there ain't nothin' you can't be
If you conceive it, you can achieve it
That's why, I believe in you, I believe in me

You are the universe
And there ain't nothin' you can't do
If you conceive it, you can achieve it
That's why, I believe in you

You are the universe
And there ain't nothin' you can't be
If you conceive it, you can achieve it
That's why, I believe in you
