"Our Holidays" Mini Album Cover & Spread for Prima! {November 2014 Special Delivery Kit}

Hi :)  Last month I had the pleasure of making up
a sample for the latest Prima Special Delivery kit!

I was sent this gorgeous kit to play with, which I must say is ABSOLUTELY PACKED
 WITH GOODNESS!!  I have been ploughing through it ever since!!!
 I have almost used up EVERY EMBELLISHMENT!
There are tonnes of papers too.  What a lucky duck I am!!

There are still kits available for order HERE.  I'm not sure how much the
 "Low International Postage" is but I should suspect it is very close to actual cost.

I had to make a tutorial to accompany this so I had to make sure not to
over-complicate things & also to make the steps simple enough to be
explained & not have too many of them!!

As we are going away on holiday soon I decorated a journal to take along.
 I am really looking forward to having something small & fun to record
our memories in & already have it in it's own small bag along
 with some basics like pens, glues & stamps!

I really enjoyed recolouring the gorgeous Christmas resins as well
as the lovely flowers & of course putting the packaging to good use too!

I needed to keep my extra supplies to a minimum {what was NOT in the kit}
 so I used Ingvilde Bolme chalk inks for my stenciling & edging as most
 people have at least a small selection of inks & I used a 6inch Prima
mask for my stenciling & an older Prima stamp.

Because the base is more an art journal than a mini-album I had to keep things
 relatively flat inside but I will probably tear half the pages out to allow for a
little bulk as I will be adding our ephemera regularly.

I am not calling this a December Daily as personally I am not a fan.
I find December stressful enough without adding something else
to the list.  Here in Africa it really is our shutdown month,
unlike Europe that takes time off in the Summer.

Thanks for looking!
I will be back tomorrow with the tutorial!!

This is such a fabulous idea. I have done smash books to take away with me so I don't forget or lose stuff that I collect on holiday but this is such a cool idea. Love the papers and there is so much stuff in there. Lucky ducky indeed. <3

I love that you folks there take off December, that is quite interesting to me! And having spent June and July in France, I get that they take those months off...the US, well we just like to work and be stressed out! What a better month to be stressed out than at Christmas! I agree with you on the December Daily, but I Love your idea of a journal. I think you will make good use of it AND keep your creativity flowing while on holiday! Nice job and congrats on getting this lovely kit to work in! Hugs!
