"Hello Darling" Layout for 7 Dots Studio

Hello again!  Back today to share my latest layout over at 7 Dots Studio HERE.
I used the 2014 COLD COUNTRY collection, designed by Ania Dabrowksa {Finnabair}.

My base paper is "Lost Letter"" & I have also used the word
& element stickers as well as the clear stamps from the same collection.

As you can see I got quite carried away here with both my base design
as well as my embellishing.  This page is the last page in my son's
school album, so I wanted to make it "fancy"!!

 I  used an ornate vintage doilymask {an actual plastic vintage doily}
 - they make THE BEST MASKS EVER} & thick modeling paste, at each side.

I gessoed over the entire background very thinly, using an old credit card,
then I stamped all over with black archival ink, then used lots of Izinks,
one of my latest obsessions, for the colourings.

My vintage mask was a gift from my sweet friend MITRA from the US,
as was this gorgeous bunch of Peacock feathers used.  My metals, bling
& embellishments all come from Prima, of which I am incredibly obsessed ♥

What looks like a metal frame coming out from under the photo is actually a locally
bought resin frame that comes already bronzed.  Ever so awesome.  I need more!!

The lovely shiny flairs comes from one of my new fave places, UmWow Studio.
I am trying a lot harder these days to keep my layouts flat but it's an uphill battle
at times I tell you.  I do love me a nice tactile flower cluster on occassion!!

HAPPY WEEKEND!

hahahahahah yes... flat and you - no way! And ... that is not a bad thing either. What do you do with all of your layouts are they all in albums. It does make them fat. :D I have just got rid of a whole lot of albums to my kids now they have their own spaces to clutter ;) I love the business of your layouts ... so much texture going on. This is a wonderful layout.
