"Think Good Thoughts" Art Journal Page for Scrap Around The World

FINALLY I created my first art journal page!
Who knows if I did it right or wrong!?!
All I know is that I really enjoyed doing it!!

I loved using all the different techniques & mediums
& it's definitely something I will be doing more of.

One of the reasons I haven't begun up until now is that I haven't had an
art journal or really known what to use for one.  I found this A4 book at
the Newsagent the other day & had an "aha" moment about it - deciding
that it would work perfectly for me to glue my pages into.

Of course I will enjoy decorating the cover soon too!!

So all the things I did here...well I started with misting & watercolour painting with it,
then went on to some dry stencilling, some stamping & then the positioning of ALL
those alphas, then the embellishing & the accenting of the yellow using gelatos.

I used a 3rd Eye Flair & Prima stamps & stencils.  The alphas are from Pink Paislee,
Heidi Swapp & American Crafts.  I have 2 huge containers of alphas that I hardly
use anymore - hence the GREAT APPEAL of using quotes on my AJ pages!!

See you all again soon & just BY THE WAY we have a Facebook Giveaway
going on right now on the Scrap Around The World Facebook Page so
check it out HERE - you can win over $100 worth of Cheery Lynn Dies!

ALWAYS FREE INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING AT SATW TOO!!

Oh Helen, I was just like you! I am clueless as to what an art journal is, or what I'd do with one. Maybe at one point I'll take the plunge, but wow, you did fantabulous :)

The most beautiful thing on art journaling: there is no right or wrong. It is the thing I do most and love most. But... I always want a purpose for things I make, thats why I dont work in a art journal, but just on pages. They become part of my life albums for the children. I love the journal you made here, full of life and fun!

So bright and cheery! Love it! Welcome to the journaling set. It is so exciting and fun.

The beauty of an art journal is there is no right or wrong way to it. It is art and it is a personal journey, so sit back, relax and enjoy the process.:)

See, now you know what you've been missing out on.....it's called freedom. No rules, restrictions, boundaries or expectations. Just abandon yourself to your mediums, feelings, emotions and ideas. Love the happy, good time vibe coming from your page....don't stop now. xx
