Obsessed with Penguins! Layout {Lindy's Stamp Gang February Colour Challenge}

Remember I have a Valentine's Giveaway
this month - just click  HERE.

Hi everyone!  I am still away with limited internet access but am in a coffee shop right now so that I can share the latest FEBRUARY COLOUR CHALLENGE  up at LINDY'S STAMP GANG right now.

There are some simple rules for it up on the blog HERE
& a linky tool in the sidebar, that you upload to.

You only need to use 2 of the colours.  Thereafter you can use
white, black or craft.  I used some box (triple core) board as
my base, which I ripped & tore to reveal the inner corregation
in some parts.  This is a wonderful way to start any mixed media
layout as it gives you instant texture & is totally free!

I limited my colours to BLUE HAWAIIAN BLUE & TEA POT PURPLE
Starburst sprays & toned them both down using
FROZEN JACK FROST {white}.

***I dry-brushed gesso over the top too!***

I used Lindy's Stamp Gang glitter on my
Prima flower too - Steel Shimmer.

I tucked in some flourishes from 2Crafty Chipboard,
which are mainly raw but randomly glitter dipped.
Those yummy steel look alphas are from Tim Holtz.

I used the 6 inch Prima Damask mask for texture, together with some
texture paste.  I embellished with a little dyed cheesecloth
& some Webster's Pages tinsel from a few years back now.

Lindy's Stamp Gang Products used :-

Blue Hawaiian Blue, Tea Pot Purple & Frozen Jack Frost Starburst Sprays
Morning Glory Azure & Hollyhock Scarlet Plum Embossing Powders
Glitter - Down The Rabbit Hole Henna & Steel Shimmer

Remember there are always great prizes to be won for this challenge!
THANKS FOR STOPPING BY TODAY :)

I am obsessed with penguins too, LOL! They are just so cute. And here in MN, where we have snow almost half the year, I can use penguin-themed decorations in my home for several months.

Of course, I know that penguins are not just a cold weather animal. I suppose you get to see real penguins at your beaches pretty often there in Durban, eh?
