"Gateway to Growing Up" Layout - Lindy's Stamp Gang {Prima/2 Crafty Chipboard}

Hi everyone!  Wow did you see the end of the month whizzing by?!?
Such a crazy silly time & lots to share now!!  New challenges up at
Lindy's Stamp Gang & Scrap Around The World but for now
let's finish off January!  I have my monthly blog post & video up
at Lindy's Stamp Gang at the moment HERE.

I'LL SHARE MY VIDEO IN THE NEXT POST!

Hi everyone!  HELEN here with you for my January project, post & video.
I have a page full of Lindy’s Stamp Gang possibilities, to share with you today!!

I started out with watercolour paper for my base, which I treated with
Cowabunga Copper Starburst Spray, applied with a sponge, gradually
adding more & more water up towards the top, for an ombre effect.

I used Bodacious Blush & Midnight Rendevous Raven for misting
& splattering over the top of my ombre background.  All 3 mists
come from the “Totally 80′s”set available HERE.

For additional texture I added some cheesecloth, which I applied using gel medium
then went over with gesso.  I glittered up my butterflies randomly using
”Pretty in Pink”glitter from the ”Totally 80′s” art glitter set available here.

I used some beautiful, sturdy chipboard from 2 Crafty Chipboard {Australia}
& embossed it using “Midnight Copper Obsidian” embossing powder, sponged with gesso.

For the leafy stems, also from 2Crafty Chipboard, I used Tannenbaum Green Gold
Embossing Powder, also sponged over with gesso.
DSC_4766
I used some beautiful Prima “Bella” flowers, which I treated to a coating
of “Pretty in Pink” Starburst spray misting, followed by a dab of gel medium
then a light coating of “Pretty in Pink”glitter too.
DSC_4779
I randomly glitter-dipped the butterflies into Bodacious Blush art glitter.

I love the softness the cheesecloth gives & adhering with gel medium
is perfect for it & sponging with gesso adds extra adhesion plus an artsy look.

I also used some lovely gold/silver combo twine which I bunched up under each flower
before hot-gluing it in place.
THANKS FOR VISITING TODAY!
Have a fabulous & creative weekend!!
