"The One" Layout - Flourish With a Bling {Prima "Anna Maria"Collection/Lindy's Stamp Gang}

Haaaaappy Friday!!
 I preschedule most of my posts these days but I am predicting,
rather positively, that I will be feeling ALOT better by now!
I sure hope so because I don't schedule in sickness LOL!
{very inconvenient!!}

Now before you go wondering about my background...
I will let you in on a secret :)  I HATE WASTE!!  So...

When I am misting I place a plastic bag under my paper
 {not a box that can absorb the mist}then once I am finished
 I mop up the residual mist onto a sheet of plain cardstock.

(I don't use watercolour paper for this simply because it is
more expensive & not usually necessary as the left-over mist
doesn't completely saturate the paper so the warp is minimal).

And THAT is how this background came to be!
TOTALLY random!!

Of course I added the masking down each side, using a new Prima
 mask, together with some hard modelling paste from Golden &
 some Lindy's Stamp Gang Embossing Powders in
{a clear embossing powder with a 2-tone silver shimmer}.

This effect is UBER easy to achieve because you simply sprinkle the embossing powders onto your wet medium then dry both off at the same time - double the WOW for the same amount of effort = win/win!!

You can read all about the FWAB product used
 on this page in the actual post on their blog HERE.

I must also add that the lovely chipboard flourishes I used to
create the "heart" around the photo are a brand new release from
  Scrapmatts Chipboard in Australia & available for purchase HERE.

Most of the embellishments I've used here come from the new Prima
"Anna Maria" Collection so to balance out the cost of my new
 goodies I used clothing tickets all around my photo -
not patterned paper :)

I love visiting your blog Helen, so many fab tips and tricks. I have been using a box for misting... that changes today. I have been sticking my MM layouts onto card after I am done.. I am still not wild about the non-smooth look but like everything else I will get over it in time. I used to be the same with doing single page layouts... now they don't bother me in a layout. Weird? I know huh! But there you go. I love the idea of embossing powder on gesso and will give that a go :D Now onto your layout. You know what I love most about your layouts is they are so full of colour.. never mind the layers and textures... I still need to get my head around that. I can be a little matchy matchy @@ I know... I am working on that too.... hell since I discovered all this stuff its like a complete mind warp.. baby steps for this old dog :D Love it :D <3

A wonderful, colourful , textural layout! I have a few sheets of paper on the side that I use to pick up residual mist as well. I love the ramdomness.
Your daughter and her beau look so good together - like they were meant. Hope they continue as they are.

Maybe I'm not adventurous enough. I looooove this page Helen. So full of colour and yummyness!! Absolutely stunning. I do hope you are feeling much better now. ox
