'Laugh' Layout - Sketchbook 365 - Purple Pumpkin/Scrapmatts/Basic Grey Knee High & Bow Ties

Did you know that Scrap 365 Magazine (UK) has recently launched
it's own sketch challenge site too?  See it HERE.  There's a new
sketch up every month, running from the middle of one month until
the middle of the next so if you miss some end of the month
challenge deadlines you can play at Sketchbook 365 instead!

See all the details pertaining to this sketch in THIS post.

It was quite challenging for me as it is very linear as you can
see...but I enjoyed getting things straight for a change LOL!

I've been wanting to try out an ombre effect on my background
paper for a while now so this was the perfect opportunity.  I
started with the white cardstock & used 3 off-cut pieces from
my 'pinks' pack of cardstock, trimming them down as necessary.

Was really happy with how it turned out!

I used some brand new goodies from Basic Grey
'Knee High & Bow Ties' collection - very cute embellishments!

I stitched my journalling lines using Purple Pumpkin twine.
LOVE how that turned out too!! (and I have A LOT of twine
so you may be seeing this more often LOL)...

Quite busy with all the little bits & pieces but I'm loving this
look of lots of little things going on all over the place, balanced
with a good amount of white space.

Those enamel dots from My Mind's Eye just have me
STARING at them ALL THE TIME.  Definitely LOVE!!

I have a post up on this layout going up at Purple Pumpkin on
Tuesday 21st too, detailing all the Purple Pumpkin stash I've
used on it, namely the stripy washi tape, ticket & twine, so
head over if you want to buy some for yourself, I always
link up there to the actual products in their store.

Thanks so much for your visit today!

I've had a terrible week - it's been all downhill
since Monday so here's to US this weekend!!

I love the ombre effect you did!! Very cool!! I love the smaller collage too. Wonderful pics of your kids.

I hope your weekend was better than your week was. Thanks for stopping by my blog. :) I am loving the warmer weather. I don't mind the heat. MUCH prefer that to the cold weather. I wish the winters were shorter and summers longer. And to think, we had a fresh dumping of 8 inches of snow just two weeks ago. LOL
