'That Manchester Vibe' Layout - My Creative Scrapbook March 2013 Limited Edition Kit

Hi everyone!  Happy Friday!!  Well mine has been a particularly busy one, pulled in many different directions, but this weekend I will be focusing on CREATING - Yay!!  I have a LOT of work due in so I will be in my studio most of the weekend.

I'm off the airwaves right now trying to make some headway with my design team work (including secret squirrel planning for my new magazine DT and my other 'surprise' coming up at the end of the month!).

I hope you are following the My Creative Scrapbook blog if you like or subscribe to these kits.  There is so much going on there that you wouldn't need to visit anywhere else - it is THAT full of inspiration and has such a diverse team of designers.

Click where it says 'Subscribe Here' to go through to the page that shows you everything on offer (lots of things to click on at the top right - Limited Edition Kits/Design Team Galley/etc) .

You can find this kit under 'Previous Kits' HERE & e mail to see if there are any left in stock.  MyCreativeScrapbook@gmail.com .

Those awesome grungy circles came about by mistake!  A very happy accident indeed!!  The kit came with 2 awesome custom chipboard circles, which I painted black, whilst using the Metals packaging cardstock as protection for my cutting mat.  Of course, when I lifted the circles off I had another two awesome circles which I rough-cut out & fitted perfectly with the grungy Manchester Vibe I was after!  I added some black splats to tie my grungy circles in to my page.

I randomly embossed my circles with gold, raising them up with foam tape for some dimension.

The papers in the kit were from the Kaisercraft 'Secret Admirer' Collection & Webster's Pages 'Modern Romance' Collection.  I needed ALOT of text on this one so went with my Dymo machine & also used a lot of the Webster's 'Storytellers' alphas provided with the kit.

Prima glittery roses & new Prima metals & the Sunrise/Sunset wording comes from the Prima Metals packaging of course :)

I fussy-cut one of the elements from the Kaiser papers & used it above & below my photo for some extra, interesting detail.

I chose the more muted B-side of one of the Kaiser papers & added a central patterned panel (the B side of the journaling card paper), as my base, building up my page from there.  I left the (reverse side of) the identification strip attached to the bottom again (reducing by 1cm from the top of my page to take that into account).

I love the way this page turned out!
Have a great weekend everyone & remember to get crafty!!
