Some very exciting news! Working for Scrap 365 Magazine & Featured at Once Upon a Sketch!

Hi everyone!  Things around here are on a bit of a go slow for me this week as all my kids are on school holidays & my daughter is home from university.  I have to make the most of my time with her whilst she is around & be available for my kids in the evenings as they almost always have teenage plans! I've decided to just enjoy this week & get back to work on all my scrapbooking commitments next week when they are at home doing their homework in the evenings, keeping me company whilst I scrap!

I will be announcing my giveaway winner soon - I am just tallying up comments & checking up on ya :)

The really exciting news I have is that I have been invited to join the design team at Scrap 365 - the English magazine!  You can read the official announcement HERE on their blog & scroll down their sidebar to view the list of their entire design team.
WOW, I am overwhelmed to be grouped together with some very talented ladies!!  If you visit their sister blog, Sketchbook 365, you will see that they have a DESIGN TEAM CALL on right now, which may be of interest to some of you...

One of my goals for 2013 was to make more of an effort to get layouts published & try my best in the "publication" arena so I am very happy to be on track with that one :)  Thank you so much to Morag & Katy at Scrap 365 for this amazing opportunity!

I was delighted to see that my entry at Once Upon a Sketch was featured last month!

I was on the original design team at Once Upon a Sketch & spent a wonderful year working alongside Nadia & her lovely team so it will always be a very special site to me.

Lastly, I'm sharing a video of a song those two handsome guys in the layout above collaborated on! My son Jack is a talented rapper & song writer & my other son Reilly is a talented DJ & music producer.  Their tiny bedroom is full of microphones, mixers & decks & these boys certainly can spin a tune.

This one brought tears to my eyes - written solely by Jack - please give it a listen & if you know of anyone (your kids perhaps) who are interested in meaningful rap music please recommend him to them - he'd love more subscribers to his You Tube channel.  Thank you for visiting my blog :)

WOW Helen this is really wonderful. I think his words are so spot on, I think as parents we always hope that our kids are going to be there for each other but for a lot of families this is so not the case. Its nice to hear some nice rap rather than the crap a lot of our kids are subjected to. Awesome!!!

What amazing children you have, you are so blessed and they are so blessed to have you and your hubby as parents, I am sure you are amazing parents. I will definitely get my kids to subscribe (as will I) as they could learn a thing or two from Jack. Congrats on the mag design team, very much deserved as your work is always gorgeous!
