'Free to be You' Layout - My Creative Scrapbook April 2013 Limited Edition Kit {Prima Divine}

Hello Monday!  A happy Monday it surely will be with this burst of sunshiny yellow, don't you think?  I started this layout with some empowering bursts of 'Sunflower Yellow' by Maya Road.

This is the 4th layout I created from the April 2013 Limited Edition Kit from My Creative Scrapbook this month - still available HERE

This is my favourite blurry photo ever!  I caught my daughter spinning around in pure happiness as we were walking down the Champs Elysees in Paris shortly after New Year.

'Joie de Vivre' means 'The Joy of Life' & I printed that directly onto my photograph then punched my photo edges (top & bottom only} with my Martha Stewart Arch Lattice Edge punch (which I mirrored on my photo mat} then placed my title alphas up & down to look as if they were jumping for joy!

We all really loved the feeling of freedom & safety roaming the streets of the European country - something that has been taken away from us in modern Africa.

I layered up some diecuts under the photo & matt (including the circular one that I cut into 2 pieces - I used the other piece on the top edge of my layout.

I added gesso to the flowers to fade them out (just like the faded beauty of Paris).  This printed paper actually SAYS Paris in the top left & just look at that perfect die-cut sentiment card?!

The patterned paper had a happy dancing lady already printed on the right-hand side so I fussy-cut around her & tucked the right-hand side of my photo under her skirt :)

And there's the other half of the die-cut I used
(big scissors cut these beauties like butter).

Wishing you all a truly wonderful & productive week.

Thank you so much for your visit today :)

Such a lovely yellow with the dancing letters! I LOVE PARIS, would love to go back at some point. I spent a whole summer there and it was delicious between the food, the flowers, the landscape, the feel of the city which I totally believe you have captured in this page with your faded flowers and pretty paper!
