  • Prima Divine 3" flowers pkg of (3)
  • Cream satin edge sheer trim

This kit has it ALL!  And think of all the time you save browsing online stores compiling your 'list'!

I inked around the edges of my page, creating a vignette look with a paler centre & darker edges. I did some very subtle misting & masking, using 'Tattered Angels' "Sunshine" glimmer mist over the new Prima quatrefoil 6" stencil then Golden modeling paste over  the Prima 6" 'Art is' stencil, leaving it white so it looks and feels like braille writing on the page.

The idea behind using the text stencil is to reinforce all the 'words' as this layout is about me catching up with a long lost friend (in Dublin) & us chatting our heads off :)

I created an ombre effect on my alphas using a 'Chestnut Brown' catseye inkpad from Color Box.  Makes the alphas fit in much better on this page than keeping the original mint green colour.

I used up the rest of my Prima wooden birdies from my previous kit.  I couldn't resist!  (A couple of chicks chatting - get it?!)  I placed them face to face having lots of little conversations...

I added some shading to the birds using my brown inkpad too.  I splattered Maya Road 'Charcoal' mist onto my page & also journaled using black dymo tape, to tie in with the dark photo.

I roughed up my edges a bit & tore a few places here & there, just to loosen up the look of the page & add a little bitta shabby :)

Thanks for stopping by today!
Happy Hump day to ya!!

Dublin is my favourite place in the whole world. I love it there... some great places to have coffee and some even better ones to grab a pint ;) love the gesso on the layout and the misting. The chippies are just so sweet. Lovely photo too. Gorgeous work as always.
