'A Day out in Dublin' Double Layout for My Creative Scrapbook March 2013 Limited Edition Kit

Hi!  A DOUBLE!!  I know :)  Haven't done one of these in YEARS but it was necessary because I needed to scrap an event (which I don't do often) therefore there were more photos involved & too many to look good on a layout in the sizes I wanted.

I didn't have two of the same patterned papers for the base
so I cut two different sheets in half, repositioned & adhered
them in order to create a cohesive background.

I ran a pink inkpad over the lace to recolour it before
sandwiching it between the seams of the papers.

I played around with the mini journaling cards, positioning
them so the words showed up between my photographs.

To get all the different sized photos the easiest way I've found
is to create a Picasa collage then cut out each separate image.

I hand-journaled again & added some Liquid Pearls
here & there for a bit of extra, pretty detail.

The new Webster's Pages 'Modern Romance' is a beautiful
ode to their older style of patterned papers.

♥ the mix of metals & staples with the lace & organza .

I made a focal point on the right side page by printing my photo bigger than the others & encircling it with the chipboard ring that came with the kit.  I painted it black then randomly embossed it with gold before adding some Liquid Pearl dots.

I used the organza ribbon to make a bow & twist around the frame. How cute is that Webster's Pages resin nest resting amidst the Prima flowers??

That's hubby with his cousin {not me!} {just in case you're
wondering why he has his arm around her LOL!!}

Webster's Pages & Prima always make a great combo don't you think?  If you're drooling over this kit send an e mail to MyCreativeScrapbook@gmail.com to see if there are any left!

Thank you for visiting my blog today ♥
I appreciate each & every visit & comment that I  receive.

I'm not feeling 100% today due to the 88% humidity in Durban {in Autumn!}. Suffering from heat exhaustion {or maybe just exhaustion LOL} so off to bed!  See y'all tomorrow :)

Gorgeous double LO Helen. Thanks for the tip about putting lots of different sizes photographs. Hope you feel better today. Only 6 C degrees and rain in Dublin at the moment and it is Spring and soon it will be "summer" LOL.

Great double pager....and you know, when it comes to travel pages...not easy to just scrap one, because one always tends to have a lot of photo's!! ;-) So loving this and love all the little bits of journalling! ;-)

Oh my someone has been super busy, I'm loving the use of the circle frame as I think I have a circle fetish when it comes to layouts, lol. You've really worked all the Kaiser products together beautifully Helen. Hope you had a fabulous weekend and there wasn't much damage from the tree falling on your house.

Okay, you need to do more of these pages. I love how visually appealing this is with the multiple photos, the bright colours and the little details like the liquid pearls on the hardware!

Had no idea 88% humidity is even possible on land, my goodness I'd be panting out dead flat! Double-pagers always bring out the *oooh* in me, have only ever done one. Clever to use Picasa for the multiple photos, looks really wonderful!! xoxox
