'Just Because' Layout - ScrapFriends January Colour Challenge {Glitz Design/Prima}

Hey everyone!  Well I'm back from my sojourn along the coast
with my daughter & she's all settled into her new apartment and I
am back to work. Just prescheduling this to keep up and going
with this blog of mine.  It's been a challenging 12 days with no
internet at all at home - a line fault in our area apparently - and
no-one can give us any idea how long it will take to fix.  I also
have no computer as my hard-drive has crashed, worse than the
first time 6 months ago, as now none of my data is retrievable
and my computer has had to head to the capital city to a retrieval
expert.  So please go easy on me, I'm doing my best to keep up :)

I have lots to share that hasn't gone up here so I'm sharing a layout
I created for I created for my DT debut at ScrapFriends in January.
I had a short but sweet time there of one month as I resigned when
I had to return to full-time work.  I've copied and pasted directly from
the ScrapFriends blog due to my computer issues.  See my layout up
at ScrapFriends HERE.

And as usual stunning layouts from our creative design team
"December"

Materials:

I had lots of lovely close-up shots for you but they are now shattered
into cyberspace unfortunately.  This challenge is still open for another
3 days! So enter if you like - ScrapFriends always has amazing prizes
 and Guest Designer opportunities.

Thanks for popping by!

I have a 3G card now that I will be testing out tomorrow & hopefully
that will keep me ''in the loop" online until our internet gets restored.
Please say a prayer for my hard-drive - it is with a retrieval specialist
who is trying to retrieve all my data, from e mails to images, the lot.
I don't back up daily as I store my external hard-drive somewhere
else - due to the ever-present crime factor here but my new system
is virtually foolproof.  My IT man is installing a SECOND hard-drive
to back up automatically in future, so that if I have a THIRD crash
before my monthly back-up I'll have everything copied over already -
unless of course they crash simultaneously - in which case...LOL

So sorry for your continued internet troubles. It can be so annoying.
At the moment I am forced to use mostly the IPad on 3G as my PC refuses to go on the internet. I much prefer my PC to a laptop too as I find I can do everything much faster on it. We are going to try another solution in a while; internet through the electrical socket. It is pretty new around here and supposed to work well!!
Also sorry you get less time to scrap. I can totally relate as I run a business,a home and something resembling a taxi service... :-)LOL!
I hope it all gets better soon!
Your layout is simply stunning by the way. I love it!

It is hard work when losing all precious items on a hard-drive. I do hope somewhere along the line you can retrieve some of the data. Your layout is superb Helen - I always enjoy searching for everything and always finding more glorious bits and pieces. Love it!

So sorry to hear about your computer issues Helen! How annoying and I'm sure very frustrating for you. I haven't been around all that much and I have missed seeing all your gorgeous work! Love this layout! It's so happy and bright.
Glad to hear your daughter has settled into her new place at Uni. Yes, mine are both finsih with school now. My son will start his third year and my daughter her first year of Uni soon. Luckily we live pretty close to the one they're attending, so they don't have to leave me YET. Lol! I'm sure that day will come soon enough...
Take care. xx
