February Card {Scrapmatts/Flourish with a Bling Product Swap} Glitz Design/Pink Paislee

Hi everyone -   Happy Hump Day!  I'm feeling rather dreadful & on my second course of anti-biotics so far this year :(  I am not enjoying my 2013 routine so far as I don't have the time I would like to spend on the things I most enjoy doing.  Probably the story of many of your lives too?!  Anyway, a lot of thought is going into my time management schedule, so I'm hoping to become better at juggling things soon although I may have to drop some more balls...

My Bestie had a birthday yesterday so it was perfect timing as I got to make this card recently for the Scrapmatts/Flourish with a Bling product swap that is going on RIGHT NOW.  If you want to head over HERE to Scrapmatts & read up on what it is all about there are BEEG PRIZES to be won :)

I used a Glitz Design calendar card from an older collection (which was FULL of  spelling mistakes!  Unbelievable really...) I solved the problem by covering up the misspelt words with the Pink Paislee mistable butterflies (I rubbed a lime green ink pad over them).  I painted & glittered up the Scrapmatts chipboard & used FWAB black rhinestones along the top & bottom of the card & Elize Silver bling for the butterfly trails.

I inked up the edges in Prima 'Knotted Wood' (have become very fond of that one...) & used a fine liner pen to 'stitch' the edges as my sewing machine is broken :(  I bought a pack of this craft corrugated card recently (unfortunately it only comes in A4 sheets here in South Africa) but I am finding it VERY handy indeed.  I love the texture if provides, and the peek of craft!

What a beautiful card, Helen!! Best of luck with the juggling and time management :) I feel your pain on that one. It can be quite difficult when you have such a strong pull to create but have other obligations that get in the way..I am the queen of the juggling act, lol!

Gorgeous card!! Happy birthday to your hubby and I think to your son too right? I think I saw that on FB. I keep on meaning to email you and time passes and I don't. I always remember when I'm out like now. Im writing from my iPhone at the moment. I can't believe there were spelling mistakes. That's almost comical. Well not really for them lol. Hope you are well
Hugs!!

Yes, just when you think you got a jump on things life shifts and then you are sick or just plain tired, all that jazz. It's hard, but it's always good for growing as a peep! Love this card! Green stamp pad makes me happy! Hope you feel better!
