Wall Hanging - My Creative Scrapbook Project Kit

Yes there has actually been more creating than EVER
going on around here, although it would certainly not
seem that way from looking at my blog lately.  That's
the way it actually goes - the more to make the less
you're able to blog then it all comes pouring in later!

I got sent this very beautiful project kit from My Creative Scrapbook
Kit Club  last month.  It's a charming Melissa Frances Off-the-Page
Wall Hanger kit & comes complete with all embellishments.

Unfortunately it is SOLD OUT right now BUT it was
really popular so I wouldn't be surprised if it reappears.
If you REALLY WANT IT I suggest writing to Pam &
seeing if it is possible to place an order.
I started by covering each scalloped chipboard piece with
papers from the Prima 'Tea Thyme' Collection that I
got in my other My Creative Scrapbook kit, which is
still available HERE.
Once I had covered all the chipboard scalloped pieces I sanded the
edges then inked them with dark brown Color Box ink.

I used the Victorian Parlour die-cut sheet from Color Bok
(from the LE kit) to create my layers, inking the edges in
 Burnt Sienna by Color Box.

I made the holes for the rings using my old-fashioned eyelet setter
& hammer :) & used 2 curtain rings per side to attach the panels
to one another then used white and black acrylic paint dabbed
onto them to match them to the Melissa Frances hanger & rose hooks.

I used the mist in the kit to spray my bandage gauze & I
altered the Prima Resin bridge & bench with brown then
sealed them with a glitter varnish for a sparkly effect.

I used a hot-glue gun to attach all the flowers.  If you want
anything to STAY ON FOREVER a hot-glue gun is a MUST.
For altered projects it's my go to.

I find it a bit tricky to use & dangerous.  Mine heats up
incredibly hot & I'm scarred for life from it already,
 so be careful!

I printed out photos taken on my Blackberry so I kept
them small as the quality is obviously not the best.

To rescue 'not so good' photos converting to black & white
does wonders.  I often prefer colour photos so I desaturate
quite a lot which helps tremendously too.
