Dream Come True Layout {Once Upon a Sketch} Pink Paislee

Hi there girls!  Thursday at last!!  Geez, I thought it was
Hump Day!!  Then I realised I was a day behind...It sure
has been a busy week!  And a productive one too - just that
I haven't been able to share my work with you here as yet.

I decided to play along at Once Upon a Sketch again
this month.  I really aim to play along EVERY month but
this thing called life gets in the way & this is my 2nd page
for one of their challenges since I finished my year with
them earlier this year, in April.

I rotated the sketch one turn clockwise - to the right -
to suit my photo orientation.  I've been thinking about
the quote since I saw the challenge up 10 or so days
ago & when I saw this OLD photo {from 7 years ago}
I knew it was the one I needed to use!

I grabbed my bag full of Pink Paislee loveliness &
enjoyed mixing up 7 of their collections here!

I coloured the metal flag with Liquid Pearls for a nice sheen.

I recently bought some new, brighter inks as my favourite
layouts really are crisp, clear ones using white cardstock
bases often, and bright saturated bursts of colour.

I am also entering this in the 'Let's Get Trendy 2' workshop HERE
- Challenge 3 -(stencils) as I used a sheet of die-cut paper to block
out my centre section - doodled faux stitching around it then
inked over a Studio Calico 'Bubbles' mask to create my border effect.

The Workshop challenges are due in tomorrow so you have
time to play if you are feeling energetic!  They have some
really fun challenges and so far I have also entered
Challenge 1 - Washi Tape - with my layout HERE and
Challenge 2 - Household Supplies - with a layout I'll be
loading up tomorrow (just in the nick of time!)

What a wonderful LO, Helen... love seeing your kids as 'littles'... amazing what 7 years can do, isn't it? Such a big brave move you made. How fabulous you are a scrapper and the kids will always be able to look back and remember when .
