Not all who wander are Lost Layout - Skissedilla Sketch 174

Hi there everyone!  I played along with the latest Skissedilla
Sketch 174 HERE - due in today so I need to blog about it
right now :)

If you haven't discovered Skissedilla yet you need to!
It is a fun and funky challenge site with a very adventurous
design team, interesting sketches & great prizes!

I loved the look of the background in the sketch so did
some simple misting with a few colours, on top of some
splashes of water for a blurred, watercoloury look.

I wrapped the striped twill ribbon back and forth under
the photo, slid the bottom of the photo into a glassine
bag that I cut down with my pinking shears then added
the wooden frame on top of the photograph, in place of
the ornate frame in the sketch.

This was a really quick layout to put together & I love
how it captures my younger son's quirky personality.

I intentionally mixed up a couple of alpha sets
to tie in with my background colours.

I lightly embellished with a few eclectic bits
& pieces from my stash.

I hope you've all had a lovely weekend.  Mine has flown by
far too quickly but I am very content to have my daughter home
for what is known here as "the 10 day vac" - just a short break
each September - my home is full of love & laughter!!

Really cool Helen. A little less fussy than your usual...but still loads to look at and the white space is a great design element. Nicely done! :)

The ladies over at Dilla are just the craziest and ooooh so infinitely talented and fun!! Love this Helen! xoxo
