You're My Sunshine on a Rainy Day {Creative Scrappers Sketch 216} Webster's Pages

Hi girls - back here at my desk at last, after a few days off,
visiting family in Cape Town {beautiful place - you really should
visit!} and over my flu/bladder infection/bad stomach! Yup when
I get sick everything attacks me simultaneously, but I'm a tough
nut so I'm back here and today alone has been very exciting!
I have a new offer on the table and some exciting news to announce here some time soonish!

So Sunday saw a new reveal up at Creative Scrappers.
I turned the sketch on it's side to get my photos along the
bottom as they were all vertical orientation not horizontal.

I had some new Winter CHA papers from Webster's Pages that
I still hadn't had a chance to cut into so I thought I would use them here.

I added some painterly effects as usual, using gesso and
Liquid Pearls that makes the most awesome metallic paint when mixed in with gesso!

I created the messy side effect using real bubble-wrap as a stamp
then I stenciled over it when it was dry, using the Studio Calico Bubble stencil.

Almost everything I used here is Webster's Pages, apart from the
sequins and stick pins and the mediums. The bling, flowers, tulle & cameo are 2012 while the ribbon, doilies, leaf & sparkler are 2011.

I always try to finish up my old stash as it costs a lot to import it here but I freshen up with new!  I used 3 Paper lines here too.  Webster's always co-ordinates so it really is fantastic as you can mix and match it all up with older/newer lines!

I fussy-cut the cute umbrella images and blinged them up a bit.
I slathered on my paints thick using an old credit card, for texture.

oh!!! You gave me the BEST idea on how to use perfect pearls...I like the idea of adding it to gesso, but I also like the idea of modeling paste and running it over the top...

Great page, I will be using this sketch shortly!! Love using up that paper on a sunshine page!

Oh yeah, this is like a piece of sunshine has been attached to your page! beautifully bright colours! I am so bad at combining different collections, really should make more of an effort to spruce up the old in my stash with just a hint of the new. Gosh how Cami has thinned out this passed year, looking soooo much like her dad! any tweenie related tantrums? ;))oxox
