Les Papiers de Pandore that is. Isn't the name itself just
beautiful?! Oh how I love the French language. I could
be verbally abused in French and I would be hanging on
every word. Well LPDP is a French manufacturer
of scrapbooking papers and clear acrylic stamps, and is
situated in the South of France, and owned and managed
by my dear and uber talented friend, Julie Blanc.
I have been an admirer of Julie's work for many years
now and our paths have crossed many times over on
our online journeys. She is also a designer at the world
famous Color Room and HONESTLY she has been on
"the list" for years.
Yup I keep a list of my 10 favourite scrappers each year
and that list changes and morphs each year but there are
some people who just never fall off it and she is one of
them. Her work is 'just up my street' - modern shabby -
the layering is there and so is the white space. Perfection
and so chic and stylish. Typically French, her work looks
effortless but I am sure that it is not!
Tons of Pandore inspiration on both her blog and the
Pandore blog, both of which you can "follow by e mail"
so you can be sure of never missing another post!!
Did you know that every month there is a sketch challenge?
Yup Julie is a woman of many talents and draws up the
most wonderful sketches - here is the current one for May!
This was my Design Team Introductory layout created for
April, using their fabulous "Le Parfum des Camelias" line.
I fell in love with these papers and I'm sure you can see
why...They are all available for purchase DIRECTLY
My next offering was this page - which you can find HERE.
I wanted to show you both these pages TOGETHER so
that you can see the versatility of these papers and how
layouts made with papers from THE SAME COLLECTION
can look so different colour wise! The colours are so
saturated and strong but not at all garish.
So this month I think I will tackle that lovely sketch...
It looks modern to me {although of course I can
turn anything shabby, as can you!} but I want to
tuck into some of their other paper lines now -
take a peek into their store HERE.
If you are using Google Chrome as your browser
you will see that everything automatically translates
to English & the site is very easy to navigate. There
are MANY different paper collections to choose
from, each as timeless as the next, and postage is
reasonable.
My parcel cost Euro 11.50 to South
Africa, which equates to about US$15, which is
cheaper than it would have cost to get to me from
the States, where a box that was costing me $42
last year is now costing me $62!!!!
Now DON'T FORGET to LIKE Les Papiers de Pandore
on FACEBOOK and upload your May Sketch Layout
there for a chance to win this fabulous new collection
(The Scent of Camelias). There is also ANOTHER
way to win these papers this month - woo hoo!!
See my previous post HERE! And check out the
post directly on the Berry 71 Bleu Pages blog HERE.
