Thank you All, some Studio Tour feedback & a Sneak!

I feel incredibly blessed that I receive so many lovely
comments on my blog at a time when I am unable to
return many of them.  Just wanted you to know that :)

Generally I get through life no matter what but right now
life isn't going my way & everything is throwing itself at me,
combined with the fact that I have a huge lot of work to
catch up on now because I had to take days off
creating when we went away over the Easter Break
& then I got sick.

All through the day I've been receiving comments on
my studio tour & I have to say I've been surprised.
I've never felt my studio is "tour worthy" as it doesn't
look "pretty" or immaculate (although it does function
very well which to me is the most important thing).

I had to smile at how many of you said you liked my bag!
Thanks!!  I even got a comment from Stefanie saying she
was surprised it was so small :) Now when you see the size
of my scrapbooking tote in the next installment of my studio
tour you'll see where my priorities lie...

I completed a layout today as it was due in.  Here's
a sneak.  Pretty crazy right?!

Well the truth is I am feeling pretty crazy right now!
My state of mind  has a huge effect on my work
so when you see something like this you know
something is up LOL!  I had a crazy conversation with
someone, so that was my "inspiration" so to speak.

I can't go into detail but this quote pretty much
sums up where the conversation went...hehehe...

I love the way Eminem tells it like it is.

On days like today scrapbooking is so
much more to me than just "telling a story".
It's an artform & a means of expression.
I get very frustrated that it has a "lame" rep...
But that's another story for a different day.

Happy Weekend Everyone :)

Glad to hear so many people cheered you up Helen. The sneeks look great and I love that quote. I can totally relate as I am one to speak my mind and stand up for what I believe in. So I am sure I have enemies but lucky for me those who spend time with me in real life know me and stick by me because they know what a good friend I am and know I will not run away from confrontation to make someone else happy. It seems your struggles at the moment maybe a juggling act but I am sure you will be on track soon. Otherwise I say go into lock down, in your craft room and don't let anyone in...lol But remember to rest as well. Take Care

I can't wait to see this bead page! I just got a little package of mixed up seed beads myself, but really was thinking they would look cool in a bottle...now I am going to stalk you for this new idea!!!!!! Oh, I am sad there is a lot going on in your life and it's oooooober busy (that is super in the the US) but we get the benefit of some sweet art!

I'm linking that quote, Helen! And the sneak is intriguing... love those drippy lines and the fab splash of color with all the beads. Hope your weekend is a good one, with time to do all you wish (or at least as much as is reasonably possible!) xoxo

Your sneek peek looks amazing, can't wait to see the rest. Love your honesty Helen, the point you make about SB being an" art form and means of expression" and the fact it has a "lame" reputation rang so true with me and I love that you said it on your blog, I'm such a chicken when it comes to saying what I really think sometimes and just always avoid controversy. Would love to sit down with you over a glass of wine and discuss some of scrapbooking's more delicate issues. Sometimes when people ask what I do I am almost embarrassed to say the SB word..........

Heather, I totally agree with you, we sometimes do need to have lows to make those highs extra special ... although we don't understand the low moments at the times they are happening. And Helen, I can't see that scrapbooking has a lame reputation ... it definitely has a different meaning to each who thrives in this art form ... one definitely save whole stash of cash when it gets to visiting a shrink (no need for that when you scrap) ... scrapping is a therapy in itself!
