Bird is the Word CHARM/CHARMING/CHARMER - Eclectic Mixed Media

There's a new word on the streets girls!
It's Charm!  Or Charming!!  Or Charmer!!!

Whatever...the point is you need to head on over to
Bird is the Word, to check out the awesome new reveal
that went up on Sunday as per usual, then you need to
play along for a chance to win a gift card from an online
store of your choice, as well as a Guest Designer stint
on the blog.

I grabbed some oldish stash for this one, just determined to
HAVE FUN and play with paint, starting off by gessoing
the centre section of the backround to help the photo POP!

I used up the last of my GCD stash.  I added in some
Glitz "Glitzer" stickers, some doilies, gauze & paints.

I heavily inked the edges with yellow and orange as you can
clearly see above, and blobbed on some red and yellow paint
 to create my visual triangle.

I layered up 2 chippie butterflies, a glitzer sticker one, and a bling dot.

I smeared some clear glue to spread the gauze out along the
top to balance out the vertical line against the opposite
butterfly cluster.

I used my border strip off-cuts, together with a doily and some
staples to create the cluster on the top left, after I'd painted it up.

I dry-brushed some gesso along the border strip just
to get if off my brush if truth be told :)

I journaled on the reverse side of the printed paper (the orangey
yellow paper you see for the journaling strips) inked and ribbon
cut them, hand journaled on them then adhered them using
pop dots intermittently to raise them up for a wavy effect.
