Sketchabilities Sketch 65 - Count Your Blessings Forever Layout - Webster's Pages

Some of you may have seen this sneak here over the weekend.
Today I can share it with you at last.  I decided to use some Instax
photos as the sketch called for 5 small photos.  I have a whole
small wall of these photos in my bedroom and use my little
Instax regularly.  I highly recommend it in fact.

I used mainly Webster's Pages products here, with some Prima
bling for good measure!
If you don't own an Instax camera you can always
print TWO photos onto one postcard-sized one so
that you can get a cute, small size.

I decided to use doilies to interpret the circles & fussy-cut the
Webster's papers down the sides/edges.

I'm still without a computer {repairs AGAIN!!} so hand-journaling is
making an appearance again, and I am liking it!  That gorgeous
chipboard word is from a pack by We R Memory Keepers (I have
LOVED using them & they have gone on forever...)

I tucked some pieces of misted lace paper from Basic Grey underneath
the photos.   I hand-cut the heart in keeping with the sketch and used
it as a journaling spot {it's actually WP packaging - the backing card
behind their embellishments}.

I really enjoyed putting this one together - rather eclectic...
Of course I started by adding some visual interest to the backing paper
{an old Dream Street one with a pale floral self design}.  I then
fussy-cutting the Wonderfall papers then I marked their position
roughly, using a pencil, then added some depth to their edges by inking
through a "mask" (the BG Lace Paper) with butternut ink as seen below.

I've used the lace paper as a mask quite a lot, which is why
it is covered in ink, paint and gesso! So when I was done
using it as a mask on this page I decided to actually use
it up behind the photos as it was becoming a bit fragile...

The fussy-cut Wonderfall paper was already printed with the
"Count Your Blessings" sentiment so I just added the "Forever"
to complete my title -"Count Your Blessings Forever".

I could have just left it at "Count Your Blessings" but recent
happenings have made me realise that there are some people who
don't value family as a permanent and impenetrable unit so I felt
compelled to share that sentiment with my kids & husband, hence
my journaling " You all have me forever and always. I will never
give up on any of you ever."

I was busy staring 'til I read that last little bit of you post and got a small tear! YES, I love that sentiment. I like that forever and forever and never getting up on you, although it makes me shudder to think of anyone giving up on their kids.
