Scrapbook Kits with a Difference - Truly, Madly, Deeply Layout - The Scrap Cake

I saved this one for Valentine's Day!  This is the
2nd layout I made with my February 2012 kit from
"Scrapbook Kits with a Difference".

I inked through my Crafter's Workshop Chicken Wire stencil
around whereI planned to position my photos, to provide a subtle
"matting".  I hand-drew my heart, matting it with beige
cardstock, inked heavily to make it "pop" - then planned
where I was going to position the heart and the photos
& penciled lightly around that so that I knew where to ink.

I tucked the 4 photos in around the heart and used some
punched strips of cardstock above and below some of them.
I embossed the chipboard piece with glittery embossing powder.

I hand-journaled the lyrics from one of my favourite songs
and also made the pleated-ribbon flower embellishment.
I used a large pop-dot and started winding the ribbon
inwards towards the centre, sticking with more glue-dots
as I went around, if necessary, then added the resin flower
and misted with glimmer mist.

I added some lace beneath the photo above and punched out
some Martha Stewart butterflies which I inked & blinged up.

You can purchase this page kit, along with the other
one I've already shown, and the bonus card, here.
