I'm sure I'm not the only one infinitely frustrated by the new
DOUBLE WORD Word Verification on Blogger. As it is
I have found Word Verification annoying for a long time now -
ever since time became really hard to come by and my
blog roll increased. I have had mine off for months and
never received one spam comment - of course if I did
receive a fair bit of spam I'd have to switch it back on so
God Forbid - and of course I can understand that if you
do receive spam comments - you'd prefer to keep it on -
BUT - IF YOU DO NOT -
Why not give it a go with Word Verification OFF
and see how it goes???
Also - please click on this link and add a comment under
mine, in the Blogger Help section if you AGREE and
would like it reverted to the way it was before. In
the words of Gandhi

Hi, Helen..I just realized that up until now word verification was "on" on our blog, I have been meaning to shut it off, for ease of use for our followers, and your post reminded me of this, thanks!!

I don`t have it, I hate to do it and I love to make comments.
For several months I had no chance to make comments, I lost lots of chances to prise people for there`s talent.
So I`m so much agains it.I know some people have problem with spam, I know some poeple are hetting "not nice" comments.
But most of us don`t need this verifications plus sometimes it`s take 2-3 times before I do it right.
So...? What do you think girls?
I turned mine off last night Helen, when I discovered it was now double gobblygook verification!

The sad thing about word verification as I never get them right! Makes me feel less intelligent! I totally agree!

I tried the link and it doesn't seem to be working. I HATE the new double word thing. So often I struggle to see what the letters are and guess wrongly anyway.

Yup! I agree with you Helen...the double words are very difficult to read...sometimes I have to do it again because I got it wrong.....very frustrating...it's so time consuming!
I saw these for the first time today and I hate them. Most of the time I am guessing and to have to do it twice is a pain. Some time ago I shut mine off but started getting a lot of spam. Do you look in your spam folder because I think you should from time to time just to delete. Anyway, looks like I will have to shut it off again and maybe use comment moderation.
I am so frustrated with blogger right now. I was posting comments on blogs the other night with my iphone...and now two words, please. Mine is off. Just did a search to see if there was any word about it and your blog came up. Sorry they removed your comment. I hope they fix it. My spam thing catches most of my spam and I do get some.
I was posting comments with not a single problem earlier. Thanks for the announcement Helen! I can imagine a lot of frustration about removing comments, it's really awful to share your thoughts and then see they are gone...
