Scrap-it-Lah Challenge with Guest Designer Debbi Tehrani {Today is Worth Remembering Layout}

Hello everyone :)
Phew I already feel like I am chasing my tail this week,
which is unusual for me as I am usually very "sorted!"
The silly season has started here & tourists are flooding in,
everyone is out in full force, making the roads congested,
& the malls & parking all chock-a-block.  I am not looking
forward to the the next 3 months here from this aspect!

Daily life here in Durban changes for us "locals" at this time
of the year, making our regular chores more time-consuming
than normal dealing with all the hustle and bustle...

Here is the reveal of the full page from the sneak
I shared with you the other day!  It is my Design Team
layout for Scrap-it-Lah, the fabulous Malaysian challenge
site, this month hosting my good friend Debbi Tehrani
& her gorgeous layered style.

Debbi is busy moving house right now after finally building
her dream home so I really appreciate that she could
create for us at Scrap-it-Lah considering her
current circumstances as most of her scrapbooking
supplies are now packed up awaiting their new home :)

The challenge for November is to create a layout with :-

1.  At least 6 layers
2.  Stamping and/or embossing
3.  Tags or journaling cards incorporated into your design
(not necessarily used to journal on but can be if you choose)

Once you have incorporated these elements you may add
anything else over & above these.

This month you are playing for this gorgeous Studio Calico
"Tatting" Kit!  All layouts are judged on MERIT not
random-draw & you need to get your entries in
by 29th November {midnight 30th November
Malaysian time} which is 12 hours AHEAD of EST.

Please DO NOT combine Scrap-it-Lah
challenges with any others.

Things are looking up at Scrap-it-Lah
with a record number of participants last month -
thanks to all of you who played along!

The brown swirly twine design above is my stamping
& I stamped & embossed on some hessian/
burlap to create the flower & leaves too.

I cut a few of the journaling stickers in half & used them
as a design element, in keeping with the challenge.

I used the new Crate Paper "Farmhouse" collection -
my current fave :)

Gorgeous Fall colours in this collection!

Just loving how everything co-ordinates so wonderfully :)

WOW Helen, all those yummy layers look amazing!! Love how you've used all that vibrant colour with your mix of pp's and your little hessian flower is adorable!! Sorry I haven't been around much lately, but I've been so busy with scrapping commitments and everyday life that it's been hard to find the time to fit in a bit of blogging. Checked out your previous posts and as usual your creations are so gorgeous and full of delicious colours and detail!! Have a wonderful week :)) hugs

Wow, fantastic layout, I just love the bright colours and how it pops! I had to laugh at your 'silly season' as we used to live in Umhlanga Rocks and it was so nice and peaceful and then the holidays/spring/summer would come and it was a nightmare!! :)
