Scrapkits Challenge - You Complete Me Layout

So I decided to play along with Chantal's PRIMARY COLOURS challenge over at Scrapbookit.
You can find all the details on her blog in this post and you still have a day or two to get your entry in :)

I was happy with my Julie Fei-Fan Balzer type layout
- until I started journaling with the wrong pen by mistake & ended up with the journaling thicker than I intended -
oh well, it's not DT work, so into the album it goes...

I have quite a stack of doilies now from various Etsy shops so I need to reduce the stash,
and they are all so absolutely yummmmmmmmy!!

I stamped the little circles with the lid of a pen, glitter glued in the centre of some, pencil-crayoned in some others & added some random but cute little buttons into the mix between them too!

Maya Mist - Sunflower Yellow - the perfect "happy" shade :)

A purely therapeutic layout - it may not win any awards but I had fun doing it & the photo of my 4 babies is just fab to me!

***Any other "Jerry Maguire" - the movie - fans out there that recognise the quote
"You Complete Me"?
One of my favourite movies of ALL TIME and just LOVED that part LOL!!***

Supplies List for You Complete Me Layout

White cardstock - Bazzill
Yellow mist - Maya Road "Sunflower Yellow"
Red paint - Ranger "Watermelon" Paint Dabber
Alphas - Dear Lizzy for American Crafts
Doilies - Etsy
Buttons - stash
Blue ink - Making Memories
Glitter Glue - LCS

Wow this is more and more like a LO I would do! LOL -- you're getting cleaner and simpler every day. I love it! I'm pinning this to my inspiration board. I love the buttons and the little circles with the mist and the two embellishments. And I love the theme of the page. I totally get that.
Scrapbooking for therapeutic reasons? Oh yes, I'm right there with you on that one too!

Such a gorgeous photo of your kids. Love the page too :).

The thick journaling was a mistake? Well it's a good mistake (serendipity), because it's my favorite part of the LO! It matches the playful, whimsical feel of the rest of the LO.
