Once Upon a Sketch - Get me Outta Here! {Layout Share}

Thanks to everyone who took the time out to help me diagnose my
blog problems this week.Seems Google Chrome is getting a bit
temperamental these days so I have switched back to Firefox
for the time being.  My blog is now loading fine -
due to the fact that my two adorable custom-fonts
have been removed!  Boo Hoo!!  My blog designer is busy
trying to work out another way to instal the fonts
so they don't bring the blog to a standstill again...

So let's finally get back to business...
Here is my Design Team contribution to the latest sketch
that you can find up at Once Upon a Sketch!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Journalling criteria:-

A most embarrassing/awkward/uncomfortable moment.
Journal at least 2 SENTENCES on a moment that you will rememberfor all the wrong reasons.
Examples: something you said/did, something your child said, something your pet did etc.

You must combine our journalling criteria with this sketch.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I know, I know, it seems HARD!  But you wanna know the truth?!
It's not that hard 'cos in all honesty the photo I used is the
FIRST PHOTO I pulled out of my bag of "photos to scrap!"
I was wondering what on earth I was going to do for this one
{you see I don't really get embarrassed very easily at all -
in fact - basically nothing embarrasses me!}

Anyway, on this occasion, as you will read, I really did feel
like a right heel as I had to leave my daughter's school leaver's
dance before it had even really begun.  Considering we were
sitting on a table full of people we hardly knew, having to make
small talk, it really was pretty awkward!

Used a gorgeous rectangular doily sent all the way from Australia
by my bloggy pal Rachael Funnell.

And a die-cut concertina flower sent all the way from America
by another great bloggy pal Mitra Pratt.

And this GORGEOUS bird-cage sent to me by great girl Natalie May
of Imaginarium Designs in Australia!

I really had fun on this page - dying medical gauze using
glimmermists and altering chipboard with
gesso, inks, stamps and glitter varnish!

Using these cute, locally sourced miniature roses again!
Just loving them right now!!

I bought this giant Prima tag from Cocoa Daisy,
just inked it up a bit for maximum impact.

The whole "bird in a cage" theme is symbolic
of my need to leave!  I really had to escape
that function and get back home to the loo!!

I LOVE THIS!!! SERIOUSLY love it! So, it's around 7 on a Friday night in NY, I have a stack of cards I am trying to make into Christmas cards (basically I am sick of looking at a pile of undone stuff) and I thought I'd open blogger for some amusement. This made me SO happy! I love that little flower of mine that is all dollied up in your special way. Now I want to give up cards, make a whole bunch more flowers and give them some gesso/glimmer treatment! Guess I know what I'm doing tomorrow. I have to play along with this challenge. My story is a bit longer than yours and involves a hot teacher, school teacher that is.

This one's spectacular Helen! love what you did with the alphas, totally groovy my gal! suddenly Swedish chemists have changed the quality of gauze, totally impossible to use any of the new stuff. Gorgeous vibrant colours and fabulous elements. That bird cage is so cute too! Chelsea is a knock-out in that dress. xoxox
