Color Combos Galore Combo 208 - Choose Happiness Layout

Almost time for a new release at Color Combos Galore!
The weeks turn around so quickly these days!!
If you want to be in with a chance to win a kit from Midnight Rooster, in the lucky draw for the month, then you need to get your layout in before noon EST on Thursday!
Most of us just play for the fun of it - before I made the Design Team I had played there for about 9 months anyway, almost every week, just because the community is incredibly active & supportive over there & the colour combos are SO AWESOME that you are enhancing your scrapbooking albums each & every week with a classy layout, so I hope you join in!
It's so addictive!!  Or addicting as some say!!!

Like everything in life though, there are some rules, so please pop in & read them FIRST.
In a nutshell, stick to the colour combo!
Sounds easy but you'd be surprised just how many people think it's fine to "do their own thing"
- it's actually NOT :)
You need to use colours that MATCH those above, of course, if you can't match them 100% exactly it's not a problem, but if you interpret Mulberry Tea as Bright Cerise Pink, Porcelain Pearl as yellow, Sugared Lilac as Bright Purple & Blue Fairy Dust as Shocking Turquoise, it kinda defeats the object don't ya think?!

Also please TAG your layout with the combo no. 208 (for example) & title it (for example)
"208 Choose Happiness" so it ends up in the correct album when that collection closes.

I had the layout design in mind & knew exactly how I wanted my layout to look {and was dying to try it out} & it worked out exactly as I had it in my mind's eye!
Afterwards I drew up a sketch of it just for fun so feel free to snag it if you like it :)

I'm not big into the lavendar shades, hence don't have much of it in my stash (& I couldn't find ANY of that beautiful blue) so had to make do with the blue-grey butterflies, hence kept them to a complete minimum.

The optional technique challenge is to use PEARLS anywhere, anyhow, so I used these single pearls, adhered individually, and also painted some white cardstock with pearly paint too.

I bought that big, beautiful flower attached to a hairclip on a half-price sale over the weekend, painted it to match then dipped the edge of the petals into clear glitter & embellished it on either side with bits & pieces from my stash, Prima, K & Co, it's all in there somewhere!

Butterflies galore, I love them more than flowers actually, even in jewellery, I wear tons of butterflies!

Printing out a couple of photos to layer one behind the other is actually a pretty cheap way of adding a quick bit of wow factor (compared to the cost of embellishments) & is a pretty easy trend to follow right now...

I rarely make "pointless" pages - I like them to all have meaning, even if it's just to me/my family.
This journaling (and the title) tie up to the pictures of my SIL, who is having a hard time "finding her groove" right now.
I've had those times in my life too but I've come through them stronger, and now my therapy is to keep myself BUSY, set myself GOALS that are actually achievable {not just pipe-dreams} & work towards making them happen, reassessing them regularly.

That's just how I cope with life so that little quote is my very own -
a lot of people disagree with me but I believe we CHOOSE happiness & the more we mope about the worse we feel.
There is no Utopia in this world & there will always be "less than perfect" circumstances we have to endure, but at the end of the day,
a day spent being miserable is a day lost, unretrievable,
& I'm not going to waste my life regretting or wishing for unrealistic things.  Amen!

I loved this last week when I eyeballed it up on the CCG website. Those pearls! Are they real beads? WOW, it is so nicely laid out, reminds me of a bouquet. And yes, we certainly CHOOSE to be happy!

On a side note I just went and read the rules and found out how to post multiple photos! Think of how much easier my life would have been if I had read that to BEGIN with, LOL!

Simply beautiful. I adore that you got so many pearls on your LO. I would be skimping and scraping but the extravagant adds a decadent delight to it all.
