Color Combos Galore 207 - I would catch a grenade for you Layout - Glitz Design

Here is the new combo up at Color Combos Galore this week!
If you want to play along before the next challenge goes live you need to create a layout using these colours & upload it before 12 noon EST, just before the next challenge goes up!

If you've never created the "Colour Combo" way I strongly suggest you give it a go - it will really push you out of your comfort zone &
your layouts will become more streamlined & refined when your palette is restricted - really!
Just try it once & I guarantee you'll be hooked!!

I did my very best with the stash that I had, but would have liked to have added more of the Lilac, just didn't have any!

The Designer's Challenge this week is to use TEXT PRINT in whatever way you like, through papers, embellishments, stamps or whatever you can think of.

I have various examples of text-print in my papers & embellishment cards & stickers used.

I am still ploughing my way through the remainder of my Glitz Design stash but you'll be pleased to know there's not much left now :)
I bought a fair bit of it, I was in love!

I was sent that gorgeous giant doily all the way from Poland, from my friend Agnieszka!

I've had this photo printed out ALL YEAR & every time I want to scrap it it doesn't tie in with the papers I need to use, or the colour combo I am working on, so YAY that it is now stuck to a page!

I was in the mood for a really layered-up page this time, with all the stash I found that matched slotted in around & about.
I think I achieved that quite well & was happy with the end result :)

I came up with my title at the last minute.
I just kept looking at that photo with those 2 sweet faces smiling back at me & thinking
"I would do anything for you"
then the Bruno Mars song popped into my head!

I have to say I adore all the embellies used on this page - such an array of lushness all in one place!

I printed out my journaling onto some Prima paper with a very pale text print on it.

I save all my offcut strips in one shoe-box especially to use for journaling, then I adhere the offcut piece to some printer paper, using Sticky Stuff/Prestik/Blue-Tack
so that when I put it through my printer the journaling gets printed straight onto the card.
