Colour Combo 199 - Enjoy the Little Things Layout {and only 3 days left to play along with my challenge!}

This was the first combo after I made the Color Combos Galore Design Team - and I had to miss the reveal as I went away that week to visit my sister in Cape Town.  I did catch it up the next week, because I don't like gaps in my gallery there & I like to keep all my numbers consecutive, finicky I know!!

A very fresh, funky, modern combo.  You have seen it before in this post, because I also used this layout for my Guest Blogger post at Do More with Less here.  I'm posting it again along with the Inspiration Board, the close-ups & the supplies list.

This was a layout I did quickly.  Sometimes I just feel inspired & I'm dying to see a quick result.  Yet I was really happy with how it turned out.  These are my newest mists.  Lucky they were just perfect for the combo!

Just a quick spritz with each, and not too much overlapping, and the colours stayed nice & clean.  I used a beautiful butterfly chipboard from Imaginarium Designs, that you can only purchase here, firstly as a mask & then added it to my page.  For the yellow & pink misting I used one side, then I flipped it over when I was using it as a mask for the green, so that it didn't end up a muddy mixture of colours.

I am trying to use up all my Dear Lizzy for American Crafts before my next stash haul!  I love those Hambly transparency doily stickers & often cut them in half like I did above.

 I also cut the American Crafts chipboard piece in half too.  It's a good idea if you need things with a flat edge to frame your photos.

Finally I'm almost through those Lily Bee rub-ons (the "laugh out loud" & all the "ha ha ha's"!)

Above I just layered a little pop-sticker over the hole of the tag.

If you haven't noticed there's a huge chippie revival going on so if you don't have any you really need to pay a visit to Seriously Scrapbooking for some Imaginarium Designs.  It's the hottest chippie on the market right now and I am lucky enough to have a gigantic envelope FULL of it - all for FREE!!  Thanks to Jane & Natalie for that :)  People are actually sending me free stuff these days...it's totally cool...quite surreal actually!

I used this layout for my MODERN SHABBY CHALLENGE at Do More with Less here and you only have 3 more days to play along if you want a chance to win this awesome RAK sponsored by MOI!

Yes, if I am out of scrapbooking bling I just buy "Bindi Bling" from the Hindu shops here {like in the photo above} In this pack you'll find everything you need to go MODERN SHABBY!!  So far I've had 7 entrants, which I am very pleased about, but I'd love it if you also had the chance to play!  (Just click into Yvonne's blog to check out the requirements if you have time).

I have just snuck here to my pc whilst hubby is out fetching kids {it's a public holiday here today} but I'm actually really sick with a chest infection right now so he's home & I've been ordered back to bed :(  Will see if he'll let me borrow his laptop later.  I had a terrible night last night with all the coughing but slept most of the day as he was "on guard" at the door of my studio, to make sure I didn't enter LOL!  Will do my best to catch up on all the blogs soon :)

Awww, Helen...hope you're 100% soon!!! I LOVE how you randomly placed the HA rub ons...way to use those up!!!! Also love how you killed two birds with one stone: misted the butterfly to add color AND using it as a mask at the same time...BRILLIANT!!!

I saw this at yvonne's blog and love it, now I think I love it even more with the closer look, fabulous colors and journaling!

Re-the shaped card on my blog
they are the spellbinders diecut, I used 2 different one on that card, one is the scallop and the other is the lacey border.
