Once Upon a Sketch has a new Reveal! (Our Chix Layout) & solving your Blogging Problems once & for all!!

Oh goodness, the 1st of June already!  Wow...for me it has been a very busy year so far!   I am busy organising a birthday party  for a certain little girlie in my life & numerous other non-scrappy commitments are taking up quite a bit of my time & head space at the moment too.  My big girl comes home in 3 weeks time & we have her at home for a whole 5 WEEKS so we are just counting down the days for that!

I have been faced with seriously detrimental "Blogger" issues this week.  At one point I wasn't even been able to access my own blog to do some simple blog-hopping...you know you're all on "speed dial" so without access to your blog addresses I couldn't even browse..then when I finally "got the keys back" from Blogger to my own space...NO COMMENT BOX...Yesterday I was tearing my hair out & couldn't get any last minute challenges done as I couldn't even get to the challenges I wanted to do without access to my private blog with all my address links.

This month I have a new idea...as I see a challenge I hope to do I am shortcutting it into a file on my desktop...should skirt around any future Blogger hiccups...

To overcome the problem of being unable to comment I downloaded Google Chrome - which solved it immediately - so I uninstalled Firefox & we seem to be on our way again!!  So if you are having any "Blogger" issues yourself try that.  I don't think it's a Blogger issue at all but rather a browser one.

Once Upon A...Sketch!  The new love of my life - has a new reveal up for the month of June, and of course my layout is on show there too so pop on over here, leave us some comment love & nab that new sketch straight to your desktop & get ready to scrap!!  Emeline Seet is the Guest Designer this month, Webster's are the prize sponsors (and there is some seriaaaas stash on offer...) and Lene Neby is also guest designing (our April winner & another hyper-talented scrapbooker).  I am now following her blog - if you are into shabby chic - she is the Queen!

So here's mine - using mostly the "Springtime" line by Echo Park.  I fussy-cut the flowers & birds from the paper I had left over after creating this fussy-cut layout here.  The theme was to journal about a special woman in your life, using at least 2 lines of journaling.  The little birdies that were left over from the paper made me think of my "big girl" Chelsea as her nickname is Chix or Chicken!

Isn't the sketch gorgeous!  Save it from here if you haven't already - you have two weeks from now to submit your entry!   Here is a close-up of my  journaling so you can read the story.

I used my favourite bubble-wrap stamp again, with a two-tone effect this time.

And, in a quest for something different, I made my own tulle grass by spraying some tulle (from a fabric shop) with green mist then gathering it up & placing it behind the white picket fence sticker & the pink flower border.

These little birdies & hearts were ideal for my theme of "Our Chix" leaving the nest & flying off!

Below is my little bit of "white space" - the top right-hand corner - which I left relatively plain.

There is my tulle/netting grass, fence, flowers, scallop edging & other flower heads - all layered up one behind the other...

I used my some of my sponsored stash of Imaginarium Chipboard here for the title & was featured on their blog today here!

 Some of my layered embellishing...

And my little chicken there again, together with he mum & dad (the big chickens) LOL!

How cute is your grass/picket fence layering story. Very cute. Love this LO!

I have Firefox and have absolutely no probs whatsoever with blogger. the only prob i have is crap speed with is because our wireless is down. otherwise everything is just dandy. the only time i was stuck was a couple weeks ago when blogger had it's issues.

glad you're all sorted tho.

Absolutely stunning! Love the two toned bubble wrap stamping, the picket fence, the fact that you made your own grass (looks fab!) and the fussy cut elements. Superb take on the sketch.
Blogger Issues - Incidentally, I use Google Chrome as my default browser, and have still had blogger issues..including the comment box and follower issues...hope you have better luck.
Thanks so much for all the incredibly kind feedback that you leave on my blog...really appreciate it! :)
