Everyday Bliss {Layout Share}

Good Morning Blog People!  Yes I have been suffering from scrapbooking withdrawals so started this challenge after all my busy weekend plans were over & have just finished it now!  It's due in any minute over here.  A sketch challenge using the sketch below.

I spent ages cutting out the hearts - because I don't have a heart punch would you believe?!  Definitely GOTTA get one - high time!!  So I cut out FIFTEEN of the things - and ended up only using 6!  Oh well - at least I have some pre-prepared home-made embellishments for another layout ;-D

Supplies:-  White Bazzill Cardstock Swiss Dot.  Various printed papers plus journaling sticker from October Afternoon Fly A Kite line.  Yellow Cardstock - Colourmates.  White Thread.  Turquoise "Pretty Colour" pigment ink.  Yellow Vellum.  White Flocked ribbon {from Stationery Store for wrapping gifts}  Making Memories "Lovestruck" alphas & yellow brad.  American Crafts ribbon.  Tim Holtz Idea-ology Adage Ticket.  Echo Park Sweet Summertime sentiment sticker & blue swirl.  Creative Memories navy blue journaling pen {12 manufacturers}.
I've been dying to use this ticket for FOREVER as I have a whole book full of them!  I hope people will realise that the title of this layout is "Everyday Bliss"  {I showed it to my son & he said "Hmmm... Everyday?..." }  Hmmmppph...kids!
I made this here little embellie by adding part of the Echo Park Swirl underneath the heart.  It was too big to fit under the photo so I chopped a piece off & used it here instead!  Have you noticed that vellum is making a bit of a comeback?  That's some there under the heart {another heart in yellow vellum}.
I wanted this layout to be really summery so as soon as I saw this photo I pulled out the white cardstock.  I love the embossed dots of the Swiss Dot.  I wanted a few co-ordinating papers that were fresh & modern so I actually used the back-side of some OA journaling cards, which worked out perfectly.  I've had the wide, flocked ribbon for YEARS & wanted to use it to create a WHITE ON WHITE {monotone} look.  I adhered wide double-sided tape to the entire back-side of the ribbon then just crunched/bent it along as I went.

***For the hearts I cut them out then glued them all onto the yellow cardstock, then cut around them with my pinking shears, folded them in half using my bone-folder, then cut out another, slightly larger heart from the yellow vellum & adhered both hearts together lightly in the centre using a small glue dot.  I used another small glue dot to stick the hearts to the cardstock for ease of stitching.***

I needed to post this here now in order to get my challenge in on time ;-D  Have a great week!

Thanks Pearl - I appreciate the input. I was actually thinking of writing the title "Everyday" with a fineliner pen then cutting around the whole word but I was too tired LOL!! Look out for something like that though - or the stitching maybe too ;-D soon!

Yeah, a heart punch is a must have. Though I have two and hardly use them. One of them is shaped funny. Big daughter uses them though! lol
Great LO!
