Pretty Things...

Phew, I got in here at 11.58! Talk about cutting it fine... I commited myself to a blogpost a day to get back into the swing of things so here it is. Ummmm...okay, not much to say of global interest so time for a photo post with some more shots of my bedroom/bathroom decor & a recent purchase or three:-

I'm not really a girly girl but like these mannequins as they are feminine with a quirky edge to them too.

How's that Accesorize necklace?! Saw it on Zolani of "Freshly Ground" {awesome local band} in a magazine & had to have it. Just love that yellow leather rose on it & the cord covered button with the metal swallow...

My new jewellery box. We have a little store here - "Bernice's Place", full of pretty treasures - found this there!

Just bought a couple of these jewellery racks from Mr. Price Home, one for each side of my dressing-table. I have hardly any jewellery of any worth but I do love costume {"junk"} jewellery & have a fair amount of it.

I bought this bamboo ladder to lean up against the small patch of wall between our bedroom & bathroom to hang my clothes on at night. Got it on sale at "Tall Trees" in Gateway. LOVE it...

Okay, I admit I bought this little purse 'specially to hang over my ladder but you have to agree it's gorgeous...

Found this darling "French" bathroom range at Mr. Price Home too {what would we do without that store?!}.

Even a toilet brush to match nogal...

And a wooden word "sign" to remind me to RELAX! Have since stuck it up above the bath ;-D

Considering my week didn't go according to plan AGAIN & I didn't make much headway on the home renovation front, despite my best efforts {see last post if you're really bored...} I decided some retail therapy was in order & used my Clicks cash-back vouchers on myself for a change. Bought 2 new nail-varnishes {coral & chocolate brown...yummmm...}, a new cosmetic purse & some funky new eyeshadow.

Aren't those colours sooooooooo pretty?! I sure feel a lot better about my life now that I have a fresh coat of polish on my toe-nails!!

Lol Jessie thanks for the compliment :-D Shayne all those goodies are on "my side" whereas Shane's side is plainer. We've had many years in modern/graphic rooms so this is my time for something more classic, I've spared him any lace & frills ;-D The "relax" sign is from a little home boutique at La Lucia Mall. Hiya Mel - yup my Clicks vouchers usually go on birthday gifts/kids stationery/etc but I needed a "pick me up!" ...Heidi - next thing you're gonna tell me you don't have pierced ears?! You should get Ash to paint your toes - it's fun. In December I always paint each one a different colour just to be festive! Jenny, despite daily trials our home is coming together beautifully & I am really pleased with it. I know it's an ongoing process but until all the main things are completely finished I'm holding out on the photos. My scraproom is still in need of some embellishment shelves, etc so it will make its debut in a few weeks once everything is in...Pearl & Desire - thanks for your comments. Good to be back on the bloggy circuit again ;-D
