Or is that Saturday morning?! Oh well...whatever...Yeah I know I should've done it before but no time y'know? So, after our 6 hour car ride & prepping the tables for the big event {decor photo collages to follow...} I settled down to some serious card-making. Yup it's only the 2nd time I've made a few cards but it felt easier already...
Yes I finally found a new punch here 'cos I was getting a bit sick of the "Threading Water" one, love it as I do... and I used some of my new Cocoa Daisy stash...brad/glittered scroll {was actually a "pear" but I cut around the shape to change it into just the flourish within the pear!} & the butcher's twine.
I got a bit carried away so decided to decorate the envelopes too...Shelley appreciates hand-made stuff & I know that she will keep all her baby-shower ephemera forever! I packed a limited amount of stash in a little "card kit" that I quickly put together the morning that we left.
So here's the pair of them together! I made 3 as all 3 of us girls gave her separate gifts. I forgot all sorts of essentials, like my grid-square mat I always work on {I have a smaller version I take with me to crops - it lives in the bag I take but because I didn't take the bag {just an A4 plastic bag with a few supplies} I forgot the darn thing...and my craft knife...and...
So they weren't perfect but they were fine...& I love the Cocoa Daisy scallop punch hearts - 'cos I don't have such a pretty punch! I only noticed afterwards that the definition on the lower heart was "productive" which was pretty apt ;-D Doubt anyone else will notice that though...
She knows she's having a boy already so primary colours seemed the way to go...though I couldn't resist a flower or two...
And there's the pair together below! By the time I got to taking these photos the guests had started to arrive so that's why you see them sitting on my bedroom window ledge - teehee...
Whoops, not sure why my hand-writing isn't showing up on the envelope in the above photo - it was there I swear! {check the photo above this one if you don't believe me!}
Anyone else got these appallingly impossible to use alphas in their stash!?! Sjoe, they're the only one thing I've ever received in my kits that I have ABSOLUTELY hated!! They are virtually IMPOSSIBLE to get off the backing sheet without tearing - but I forced myself to use them up here!
