Don't Worry if you don't hear from me!

I have decided to do something rather spontaneous - not in my nature at all actually. I am off on a road-trip & will be attending a baby shower this weekend with about 30 other women. Not like me at all! But the occasion arose, initially I said no, and then I thought "what the heck - life's short" so I'm off...with my girls...down the road...quite far down actually...but we'll have fun, drink wine {well just me, not the kids of course!} & I'm hoping to feel far more able to cope with life when I return. It hasn't been much fun lately to be honest & I really need a change of scenery & a diversion.
A little frivolity can't hurt in such circumstances!

And, because a post isn't a post without a photo or two or three, here are my 2 photographic assistants, Cocoa {the apache cat} & Daisy {the ginger one} & I kid you not that these 2 furbabies were already named BEFORE I fell in love with the Cocoa Daisy kit club! Weird huh?! Clearly it was destiny...

The metallic accordian contraption above is a windscreen shade guard used here to deflect the heat off one's car dashboard, but of course I bought mine for an entirely different reason. I'm not in the least bit bothered about my dashboard, rather I'm far more concerned with a good light reflector for my photos! I read about buying one as a cheap photo prop but quite honestly it's not ideal as it needs to be propped up at the back or it falls down, so often I need the help of one of my kiddies to hold it up & that's a tiresome task for little arms.

Photographing these 2 maniacs is virtually impossible as they literally scale 12 foot tall palm trees if I point a camera in their direction, & Cocoa is the worst, so no photos of her, but here is Daisy, not such a kitten any more & with a healthy well-rounded belly now!

And finally, after chasing her around the garden for 15 minutes I got a worthwhile shot! She looks so angelic & relaxed but, believe me, she held this pose for literally a few seconds before darting up the next palm tree...

Happy Weekend All!

this year has been so lack-lustre for so many - hope you have a great time - and it is just the refresher you need - often the spontaneous moments are the best!

That is the best idea I've ever heard! You are brilliant! A dash sun reflector to reflect light on your subjects!
