Oh My Oh My!

I just can't help sharing! Especially as the DVD I hired for tonight (Priceless) turns out to be IN FRENCH (okay so it DOES have subtitles but I would rather not work so hard at 11p.m. on a Saturday night...) We are staying up especially to get Chelsea off & out to a school dance "After Party" at midnight!! Fortunately she is staying the night with a friend...

Anyway, here is the share! CHA time at JBS (Jenni Bowlin)...we all just need another life (or at least another 24 hours in each day) just to be able to buy all these yummy products AND have time to do more than just look at them lovingly LOL!

Have to have a chuckle re matric dances & after parties - been there done that. Must admit having adult "children" is so much easier but they have issues as well - thats life LOL. Those colours on the buttons are gorgeous but hey having to live within a budget & limited space is not too easy. The space being the worst.

Hey Helen, well this weekend I had time to go through your blog completely and I came accross the entry where you completely freaked out about high prices, well I am freaking out in the same way, just something different, i bought a cricut expression recently, got a great deal from a shop in pretoria, where you get a 1000 gift voucher to spend on anything else, a few days ago i seemed to struggle with something on the machine and i thought i would go to the scrapbookshop just around the corner, the owner is a scrapper and i was so sure she would help me, it is only i tip i wanted, and guess what?? she first asked me where i bought the machine, as soon as i told her she turned her back telling me that she is very busy and could not help me, can you believe it?? I thought fellow scrappers share their tips and ideas, that is why i decided today to join the online class and for anything else i would shop online and that shop would not get any bussiness from me anywhere, and let met tell you when i am in the mood and my budgets allows it, i can really spend on stash!!

I am a huge Jenni Bowlin fan! Her stuff is really exceptional...Jenny we all have budget & space limitations ;-D I spend HOURS sorting out my stash because I have so little closed in storage for it & hate it to look messy - I really need 4 large cupboards for it all (plus some chests of drawers LOL...)but even through Mistry's I need a cool R20 000 for the cupboards alone...one wonders how the Americans afford scrapbooking rooms that look like shops - huge & all beautifully kitted out - can't help but feel jealous ;-D Tania thanks for your comment. Yup you will know if you have searched my blog that I am not exactly an ambassador for the local industry - generally prices are far too high & availability too low - not to mention the almost total lack of customer service...I CAN believe your story - it is just so typical...Apart from France at Reminisce - who is a genuine sweetie - & charges what she has to - the other shops here do not even GREET me despite seeing my face once a month. It has annoyed me so much that I have only gone to one ONCE this year & the other I have cut down to every TWO months, instead of once a month, because they are just so rude & unfriendly...not to mention ungrateful for my business. The local scrappy stores whinge about not being supported but are often rip-off artists & not talented enough with their lessons. The local lessons areound here are often laughable...but as you will see our online class is already proving superbly inspirational with fantastic downloadable stuff to print & great examples to inspire...20 days for R400!!!...just too good to be true...so glad you signed up! Silly lady has now lost you as a customer...the thing is you will probably go back there when you are desparate for a stash fix, and she knows it! So you must buy online or travel further afield to avoid that temptation...shall we start up a Scrappers Anonymous...with tips on how to fight the urge to stash shop, etc?! Fellow scrappers generally stab each other in the back here...sorry to break that to you...I know it is crazy & I don't understand it either!!! I haven't yet ordered from 2 Peas but want to try it out as soon as the budget allows...the stuff there is amazing...and I am just the same as you - I sure can stash shop!!! And at the end of the day we are not stupid - if we are serious about our scrapping & buying fair amounts we want and NEED the best price. I buy regularly from Reminisce because France is such a nice person, so friendly & goes out of her way to help me with anything I want, always, even though I can buy cheaper online. I always reserve a bit for her to show my support ;-D
