Layout time! Daydreamer...

I am "having issues" with BOTH my cameras at the moment...they are each playing up under different conditions & obviously need a service, as they are both relatively new. Too young to die! Hence I have a formidable pile of layouts still unphotographed & I need to come up with a plan soon...I created this layout some weeks ago when scrapping with Jax. I used Bazzill Bling & a Making Memories shaped print. The photo was an impromptu (papparazzi) shot of Chelsea in the garden so not the best quality but it captured Chelsea's current reflective state of mind...

I distressed the edges then inked with dark brown & split the print 65/35 for a background with a twist. I grounded it with a beautiful piece of "antique" lace from a Cocoa Daisy kit & an old shoelace from Jack's school shoes! I titled it with American Crafts Thickers, dated it (top left) & embellished with some bits 'n pieces from my stash. Buttons, brads, photo anchors & bling... then added a CD butterfly & doodled some dots to show it's path off the print & into the "space" (all the while thinking of my little girl probably dreaming of a life without me & preparing to "fly away" - LOL!)

When it came to the journalling I wasn't in the mood for anything "deep" & thought the photo & title said it all...but somehow it looked incomplete. I decided to add a mixture of sentiment stickers from my stash - 2 of my favourite manufacturers - 7 Gypsies & Making Memories - all expressing what was already on my mind when looking at the photo. Now it looked kinda weird - with various stickers grouped together to one side. It needed something to pull them all together - I decided to cut from the NEGATIVE (frame around the OUTSIDE of my 7G stickers) - the part that goes into the bin! And voila!! It all came together nicely!!!

Some close ups of the details...

So there you have it...

Another moment in time - caught on film & documented. An aura captured. An hour well spent!
