MOZILLA FIREFOX IS THE WAY TO GO!
Below (in red) is some text I have copied & pasted directly from Blogger Help. This is really getting me into a state...This is disaster in Blogland...perhaps I am over-reacting but this is blog suicide in my opinion. I have been working very hard at increasing my hits on my blog, via tagging, etc, & it has been working. My sitemeter has been putting a smile on my face every Saturday ;-D Now I am dreading the day...Some users are seeing an 'Operation Aborted' error message when trying to load their blogs from Internet Explorer. We're looking into this and will update this message when we have a fix. We apologize for the inconvenience. Update (May 26): We are still working on resolving this bug. This only affects viewers using IE to view the blog; for right now, blog owners can either move the Followers gadget lower in their sidebar, or remove it altogether. Either action will eliminate the pop-up dialog box in IE. We will update this post when a fix has been made. — latest update
I have moved my Followers gadget right to the bottom of my sidebar & thought (according to what I was told - see above) that this would solve the problem. Then a very kind Blogger called Speedy gave me some great advice. Something simple that I had never thought of...accessing my OWN blog via Internet Explorer. Guess what happened???!!! Yup, that dreaded pop-up box...Operation Aborted!!! So the problem is NOT solved...
Don't get me wrong - I KNOW that Blogger will be doing everything in their power to fix this problem, but it IS taking a long time this time round.
I have noticed something that, to me, is very distressing...some peeps have just gone & deleted the gadget altogether. Some people who's blogs I follow! (don't worry - they don't reciprocate so it's not you I'm talking about...) Now if I did that to my followers I wouldn't expect them to join me when things were back to normal...you know what I mean?! As I say, maybe it is lack of sleep talking, but I don't want to dump you guys. You are all still there on the VERY bottom of my sidebar & will be re-instated to pride of place asa is humanly possible. If I DO have to dump you I will let you know FIRST & hope that you will be back when the problem is eventually solved.
As for why I have become a hit junkie...before everyone starts speculating along the lines of narcissism, etc...STOP...no...it is nothing like that...it is just a little game I'm playing & I'm enjoying it. It is a personal challenge & nothing more ;-D
Perhaps I just need a good holiday to somewhere quirky & remote, with no internet access...or dial-up at least...

Re: - the blogging, everyone has their own reasons for blogging - at first mine was to keep up with family - until I realised none of them were going to bother to look at my blog (maybe they are my stalkers, lol!)
Thanks for that, for me it seems to be working again. Now that place looks like somewhere good to have a holiday!!!
