365 Photos for (the rest of) February.

These are the balance of my 356 photos for February. I'm a bit behind on printing them so am doing it over this weekend...can't believe the first week of March is ALREADY over...

Reilly finds a (very) tiny frog in the pool & names him Bobbaliscious...

Chelsea enjoys a cuppa with me on the bed late at night after stax of homework...hence the poor shot-no light ;-(

I bought these stars years ago & finally Chelsea got to making a little hanging chain of them with the help of some ribbon...they look very sweet in her window ;-)

I found the perfect mirror for the girl's bathroom & they love it...we got it in December but I was too busy photographing Christmassy stuff back then so only just got round to it 2 months later!

Chelsea on her way to a fashion show with her friend Karen-before she put her make-up on so she looks fresh-faced & natural.

My current handbag.

The current contents of my hand-bag.

Reilly enjoying his book in my bed.

Cami all set for school.

Daisy in her favourite tree...she is growing up now & doing alot of exploring.

Brian's dog, Freckles, who we babysit most of the time...

Champions League match - Manchester United v/s Inter Malan.

Cami giving Lilly (her favourite bear) a cuddle on the top bunk...

A (rare) photo of Jack (at school all day & out all weekend - busy boy).

Cam at Gateway enjoying her favourite treat there - Cosmic Candy Popcorn.

My cappucino at Gloria Jeans - don't normally add sprinkles but needed some colour in my life!

A small portion of my pen collection (strange pen obsession...)

My scrapdesk in my bedroom. I have a small scrap-room where I house the bulk of my supplies & there I have 2 desks but I bought this one last year as I wanted to be involved with the kids during the school holidays & not "out on a limb" in my work room. We have a large bedroom with one semi-circular end which has a bank of windows running along the curve & I realised the space would be perfect for a smallish desk as the light floods in from behind it. My chair is between the windows & the desk (although I stand for the bulk of the time) so I am facing inwards rather than having a wall in front of me, as I do in my Scrap room. This works better for me so I keep limited supplies in my bedroom (ie:-what I need for current projects) & the bulk of my stash (ie paper, my books & older magazines, etc) in my Scrap room.

I bought a glass desk at Boardmans as it doesn't overpower the space & make our bedroom look like an office. It has steel tressil type legs & the best thing of all is it has a shelf underneath, only marginally smaller than the table-top, so I can use that for storing all my little jars of brads & flowers, my ink-trays, stamps, etc, etc. The disadvantage is, of course, that there is no hidden storage, but if you can live with that, then this desk is highly functional. I use a variety of plastic basket-type trays on the shelf underneath so I can just pull out what I need & underneath the desk (on the floor) I have some bigger fabric-lined reed baskets with my latest albums & scrap-mags, etc inside. Not custom built but I can live with it,lol!

TFS all these special moments with us ... was just wondering is it 365 photos and 356 photos? I can see you definitely have a fettish with pens especially the lilac coloured ones. And that tiny frog is really minute. Hugs from Desire

Love your photos so "real" life. Your desk in your room is super idea as I tend to get bogged down in my office & surface when I realise how long Ive been in there - LOL or when someone is hungry & come looking with the Whats for dinner !!

That mirror is super, it must really add such a nice touch to an already pretty bathroom. I'm sure they enjoy it.

Helen, yeah, I do encourage you to allow art to be a vent. I used to think I would celebrate being happy with art. The past 10 years have taught me that I am (Believers are) a channel of the Lord's own creativity. That thought alone brings a moment of awe. This flow is available whenever I choose to tap into it. This part says it best:
“Behold, God is my salvation,
I will trust and not be afraid;
For the LORD GOD is my strength and song,
And He has become my salvation.”
3 Therefore you will joyously draw water
From the springs of salvation.
4 And in that day you will say,
“Give thanks to the LORD, call on His name.
Make known His deeds among the peoples;
Make them remember that His name is exalted.”
When we say, "Alright, this is not good, but I'm going to worship by allowing You to flow through me in the arts", amazing things happen. And the side benefit is that we have done something positive, and we have submitted, and we find joy in the midst of life's storms. And storms do pass! As a scrapper, I like the part from above that says "make them remember..."
That's what we do. Every perfect gift comes from Him, and we help others remember them all, large and small. :) Have a happy scrappy day!!
