Mini Album continued...

Here are the first 4 inside pages (8 sides) including the front cover (below left). The striped background is how the album came. The flocked chipboard stickers are Daisy D's from my stash. The jelly flowers are cheapies I bought at the Hypermarket!

I matted the photos with offcuts from my offcut box. As you can see the yellow pages (all on the left) & the blue pages (all on the right) are very nice, mellow tones with a watermark print. This is how the album came so no need to cover ;-)

For the journalling I used the little Making Memories alpha stickers. I'm finding these are coming in really handy as they have so many of each letter per pack & I bought all the colours so they are going on forever! On the photo (above right) I printed some text on it in Picasa.

The backing paper is also from my offcuts & a lot of it was free A4 sheets that come with my Scrapbooking magazines. Mini albums make great gifts & really, there is nothing to them, except time. I find they do take quite a while - this took 8 hours - but considering the amount of pages it's not that long really. BTW hubby loved it...

I also used some of my left-over rub ons. I seem to have sheets & sheets of bits & pieces so was happy to be rid of them. Obviously I couldn't use things like brads or anything that required anything showing at the back. Actually, you'll see later on that I did use a brad on the last page & did this by cutting the prongs off (scissors work fine) then gluing it on with a large glue dot!

excellent work using up your offcuts and left-overs ... my piles never go down!... fab work, and nice not having to cover all the pages... that was the most boring and time-consuming part of doing my coupon books!!!

Very cute!!! I hope he liked it - it turned out very well :)

I just read your description ... you were quite the lady ... well, you still are - but a fashion designer is cool. I have three kids as well and it is a far bigger job to take care of them :)
